They lost me over a sticker...
I switch to this dispensary because of the location. The people are so nice, especially Nick, who is laid back, chill, and knows how to take care of the patient. In regards to the other staff, I would say not so much. I have listed the pros and cons of this dispensary below:
Pros:
-Great pricing on edibles. Their pricing is very affordable and they have a large selectin of edibles to choose from.
-The staff is knowledgeable on cannabis and provide good options for you.
- They offer a loyalty program, once you spend $500 you get a $50 credit on anything you want.
-If you buy Cresco wax you are given a sticker that you put on a card. After 10 waxes you buy, the next one is free.
-The do offer weekly sales.
Cons:
-You will always wait. There is never anyone at the front door. You walk in and have to wait until someone eventually shows up. There has not been a single time where I was greeted by someone right when I walk in.
-Their hours have changed and are terrible. The hours are not conducive to the working 8-5 and 9-6 people at all. They claim that their hours need to be uniform, all days within the week must open and close at the same time, but check out a couple other dispensaries who have fluctuating hours. Also, you would think if that was the case, they would make the hours longer, for their patients, and not cut them down on every day, including Saturday!
- Because of the hour change, I would only be able to get there on Saturday. As mentioned in the pros above, they do offer weekly sale, however, by the time I get in on Saturday, almost all their sale options are sold out and not replaced with a similar product.
-You are not allowed to call them and ask the team to get your order ready. This is the first dispensary I have ever visited that does not allow this.
-If you email them, they will not reply to you, at all.
-There is no option online to view an updated menu, no where, not even Leafly or Weedmaps.
- I went into the let them know that the gram of wax I got the week prior weighed less than expected. I gave her the packaged and the sticker. She told me that I needed to take a photo of this to prove I am being legit. She then handed back the sticker and package. I wasn't looking for a free gram or anything, I was providing this info to her so that she could possibly let the cultivator know. No care.
-And the icing on the cake...In regards to this gram of Cresco wax I bought, last week I forgot to ask for a sticker. I kept all packaging of course and let the girl know that I forgot to get a sticker for this gram of wax. The woman stated to me that she cannot give me one because she would need to pull the cameras to make sure I was not given one. I look at her and I said...wouldn't you just look at my card, see how many stickers I have on there right now and compare it to the amount of Cresco waxes I have purchased? You would then see I am missing one. She looks at me like a deer in headlights and said, "I guess I could." Yet she didn't, and she did not even give me a sticker. There focus is not at all on customer satisfaction. She made me feel like she thought I was lying. Picture posted below.
- All 8ths are $60, however, they do offer sale 8ths. Just make sure you can get there during working hours, because by the end of the week they will be out, leaving you stuck to buy the more expensive flower.

Amazing people, this isn't a business, its a family. They are starting to build inventory quickly with top quality medicine and are starting to do a rewards program. Flowers are beautiful, concentrates are pure. This facility is right off of Kirk Road and Route 64, and is easy to find. They send out a weekly email with your consent that gives a price list for all items and new product information for the week. Prices are very reasonable. Definitely would recommend this place for everybody who needs a dispensary our isn't happy with their current one. Very well managed friendly medical cannabis community. Staff are super friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about products. 10/10 best dispensary in west suburbs.

Healthway Services St. Charles -->
When I first visited the dispensary in October 2016 I was greeted with a warm welcome.
I remember how nervous I was & the staff was there by my side answering all my questions 1:1.
As I began visiting the dispensary on a 'regular basis'; EACH & EVERYTIME I arrive -->
I'm greeted with "Hi (my name)" & shown the 'specials board' & the staff member asks before going behind the counter if there's something special I'm looking for
I feel 'cared for, the staff works 1:1 with you & 99% with no interruptions 🤗
The inventory does not disappoint, my requests are always fulfilled. I enjoy the 'extras I receive during Mfrs "specials"
The staff VERY FRIENDLY, KNOWLEDGEABLE!!!
The atmosphere feels Zen like, restroom available & ATM Machine also available
LICATION perfect for me. Convenient with work/home

Long time smoker, first time “patient.” It’s still amazing to me that I can walk into a store and legally buy this medicine. You youngsters have no clue what this means to us folks over 40.
Anyway, Zen Leaf is the dispensary I chose when getting my IL med card. I live and work in St. Charles and I’m very thankful for having this dispensary here.
Things I like:
Amazing selection of different strains. From flowers to concentrates, edibles, tinctures and even suppositories, you’ll probably find a strain and method of use to help with your needs
.
The staff. The staff here are all incredibly compassionate and extremely knowledgeable about the product they sell. No question I’ve asked has been left unanswered.
The location. Luckily, I live and work in St. Charles. My job is less than a mile from here, and I can make a run to the shop during lunch if I need to. I know this is subjective, but I love this location.
The setting. The store is clean, bright, quiet and smells so damn good. I feel 100% safe and secure on and around the premises. There is plenty of space to relax and ponder the menu, and if you prefer shopping in private, I’ve been told that’s possible here. There’s a clean public restroom and an ATM on premises. As of August, 2019 they are unable to take credit card payment due to ridiculous banking laws in regards to marijuana sales. Cash only here for payment for now.
The menu, preorder, specials and loyalty program. The company puts their daily menu online and you’re able to preorder your specified products and have them ready for you to pick up when you arrive. Great touch and a great way to make sure that you’re able to get the product you need, even if it’s a popular choice. They have a different product on special everyday, which they post on a fancy TV signboard in the store or you can have them emailed/texted to you if you choose. The loyalty program is nice too: accumulate 200 points ($200) and get $10 off, 600 points get $35 off, and when you get up to 1200 points, you’ll save $80.
Things I’d like to see done differently:
The prices. While not out of line with other dispensaries, I’m surprised by how much things like vape carts cost versus on the street. I think they’d be able to offer a little better discounts on a product or 2 without going broke. The cost is what it is though. I don’t think they’re ripping people off, it’s just expensive stuff.
The hours of operation. I would like to see them open an hour or two earlier, say at 9am daily and stay open until 7pm. That would make it a little easier for people who live or work out of town and have this as their dispensary of choice. Currently (August, 2019) the hours are M-F 11am - 6pm and Sat./Sun. from 10am to 5pm.
I realize prices are out of the control of the shop. I took that into consideration when giving them my 5 stars across the board. I stayed with 5 stars for the hours because they ARE open 7 days a week, so I think anyone could make it in at some point during the week.
To wrap up, I love this place and I love that the lawmakers are finally getting the concept of personal choice and personal responsibility (maybe.) We’re lucky to live in this day and age. Thank you Zen Leaf for responsibly taking care of your patients and doing it in a fun, classy and upscale way.

At first I really liked Zen Leaf but after having very low to no flower rising cost 60 for nearly every brand they carry mid grades selling at same price as top shelf for a 1/8. If your needing carts well they have plenty of that on the menu. Customer service is hit or miss my favorite person is Scott he’s about the best thing at zen leaf he’s always nice and helpful. They definitely are lacking in strain information most have no clue about them and if you have questions your better off asking another patient. I have had several bad experiences with them. They definitely don’t make you feel that patient care matters when they run out you get oops sorry. Last week there system went down and after well over an hour we could check out while I was sitting there I gave the girl my order once the system was back up I went to go pay and was told they could not sell me the products because they had not been put in inventory although it already was on the menu I had to sit there another 20 minutes and still not sure I was going to be able to get my order at this point I have been here a hour and a half so wasting peoples time is definitely something they like doing I was given a coupon for 5 bucks off my 50 or more order. Wow all the time wasted and that’s all customers were worth. I was able to finally check out but it should have never happened and it was handled poorly. The medical program is a joke to say the least and then dispensary’s like zen make you wish you never got into the program. If you need a product replacement good luck it took a month to get any where with them between zen and the Cultivator I sent all the pics and reported it on crestco products it’s on the packaging if your not happy to reach out to them and I did and they didn’t want to honor there own promise. Watch your tamper seals I have had several products with it missing and short flower. I have started looking at them before they put in the bag. The one thing you will hear a lot is there is product shortages and they have no control over it they will use another dispensary to compare to and say there short to. Now we do have some shortages going on but when you look at others around your area’s they have plenty so there is no excuse. How can you have 3-4 and right down the street they have 20+ and plenty to choose from. Also there price is generally 5-10 higher then others in the area gold leaf rso is 55 at most places but it’s 70 at zen leaf this is definitely not the place to go to get more bang for your buck. I went In today they had a special I called right before I left to make sure they had it and was told they have plenty 15 mins later I got there went up and asked again and the girl said yes we do how many I said 4 she came back empty handed and again was told oops sorry we are out i wasted my time again I walked out super mad and will be reporting them to the state I have tried with them and I will go elsewhere to where they will have the products I need.

Crock!! It’s January 1, and they just now added the (medical only) onto their title. They “hope” to have recreational by spring. WHAT???

First visit to this facility today. Very happy with my experience. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. I felt very at ease selecting medicine. There were multiple items on sale, and a loyalty program too. Looking forward to my next visit.

This place... So I drove, 40 minutes here. It was like one of those "phone first" commercials. Except if I did call, would they have actually answered???? They do have recreational/adult use BUT... it's only at certain times on certain days. I think she said it was after 5pm that day. I got there around 1pm and she said I could wait in my car. I laughed, I'm not waiting 4 hours to get bud when I can drive another 20 minutes to Aurora and pick stuff up there. Their website hasn't been updated and still said that recreational use was not permitted in Illinois. IT'S AUGUST! You have had 8 months to update your website... with actual info that customers can use so that we aren't driving 40 minutes to be told you don't serve adult use ppl until 5 pm and only on certain days! Totally stupid!!! I don't care if you're giving out weed for free, you guys can suck it. I will never give you my business. EVER!~

Moldy weed got me sick 1st and only time shopping there. Managers solution was to give me 50% off next time... zen leaf is a joke. Shop Earthmed. I can assure you they have better quality product and customer service.

service for medical patient going down the drain

If you are looking for a dispensary that reminds you of a fun loving frat house, this is the place for you. If you are looking for a dispensary that is focused on helping sick people find relief with the use of medical Cannabis, I personally believe that you would be better off going to another dispensary.

Although the bud tenders are very good people. Corporate Zen leaf is not. They talk about medicine and patients but when there’s the worst flower shortage in the state they jack up all their prices and completely screw over their customers. It kind of reminds me of the guy with the EpiPen’s and takes advantage of people who are in need.
They go out of their way to rip you off at any chance they get they will nickel and dime you literally to death. $70 eighths of flower, and $70 grams of concentrate for medical what a bunch of A**holes!!! They lie about everything. I would look elsewhere.

Their online ordering has 4 stages: verifying, preparing, ready, and complete. The first 2 steps do not mean anything, because they do not verify or prepare any order until you are at the location; they falsely advertise this service.
In addition, their pickup window for rec customers is 6 hours long and you have to be ready at any time within that window to drop what you’re doing and go to pickup an order that might not even have what you wanted available.
There is no semblance of logic to this process. I can only imagine what level of contempt they must have for their rec customers to outright lie about the online “ordering” system; very sad competitor to Verilife, who at least is upfront about their process.
Do not waste your time “ordering” something from here and waiting all day for a text that will only guarantee you get to stand in line for a chance to buy something.

Easily deserve a five star rating. Friendly, knowledgeable staff are always willing to assist with their awesome selection of medicine. They have the widest selection of premium medicines I have seen in the state. Love this place!

I’d give zero stars if I could. Your company’s response to this pandemic is abysmal.
I’ve been coming here for almost 4 months now. This was my first visit since social distancing measures were adopted by the state 2 weeks ago. I ordered via curbside pickup so I thought I’d be there and back. The problem was I failed to switch my dispensary; so upon my arrival they offered that I could go inside and it would probably take less time to switch me on their iPad; so in I went.
Inside the dispensary, there was NO ATTEMPT MADE by any of the staff to abide by ANY social distancing guidelines. In the waiting room the girl helping me, who incidentally wasn’t wearing a mask, got close enough to hand me the iPad and stood there helping me navigate; which in any other time would’ve been appreciated. The women ‘checking me in’ encouraged me to come right up to the counter. Customers were coming and going, interacting with each other like it was ‘business as usual ‘. A peek inside the dispensary room was surreal. Customers paying were interacting with staff 2 or less feet away. Customers were lined up oblivious to need to distance. Staff were talking and laughing like it was any other normal day.
But it is not, is it? I do recognize the need for people to stay positive in the midst of this crisis; but with such flagrant disregard for your customer’s health we customers tend to interpret joyful interactions as a slap in the face in the absence of measures to protect us. I’ll be happy to smile and be pleasant from 6 feet away; interacting with someone wearing a mask, thank you.
The curbside pickup is of course intended for those wanting to avoid a trip inside. For this you’re to be applauded; however even this service is lacking. Cars aren’t staggered in the lot which means I was parked right next to someone who was 3 feet away with their window open. We were asked to arrive at 5 and got there 5 minutes late; tried texting the dispensary to inform them but I didn’t get a response and by the time we arrived our #3 spot in the parking lot was taken. All of this resulted in having to interact more with your staff who were not masked or observing any of the guidelines.
Your manager stated the dispensary hasn’t been ‘required to’ tape off it’s floors and maintain social distancing. This is a lousy and insulting answer. It bothered me even more after I arrived home and reflected on all this.
COVID 19 will no doubt challenge all of us to get creative in how we conduct business going forward. The essential nature of businesses staying open during this pandemic shouldn’t mean a free pass to conduct ‘business as usual’ during these highly changing times.
The young people employed by you of course feel invincible and that mindset is understandable— any adult today has no doubt felt this way when they were young. We are, however, living in unprecedented times. The spread of COVID 19 by asymptomatic people means this is everyone’s responsibility; no one is immune.
So I’ll choose to ignore the eye roll from your staff as I asked her to back up so I can place my money on the counter. Instead I’ll ask the obvious question: why hasn’t the dispensary’s owners implemented these procedures designed to make everyone safe?
Implementing them would no doubt be tricky logistically because of the size of the place. One can only assume they’ve not been implemented because it would effect the company’s bottom line.
If this is the way this company conducts it’s business going forward; I’ll choose to conduct my business elsewhere.
A company’s values are reflected in the care, concern and appreciation for it’s customers. There was none of that on display yesterday for customers at Zen Leaf in St. Charles.

Awesome!!! Music so loud I cant hear myself think. Also if your looking for thc content, the menu is often different from the product.. check it twice.
October 24, 2020
This place has thrown all compassion out of cannabis for of course the all mighty dollar. Ever since they went recreational it has become the worst experience time and time again. The place has really blurred the lines of medicine. First off the music is so loud it’s like a night club and apparently management is unable to locate the volume knob. The loud dance club atmosphere makes for a very difficult ordering situation. Now throw in a completely incompetent budtender, and you will most likely not receive what you order, even if the budtender points to exactly what you ask for on the menu and then gives you something else. You as the consumer are supposed to see through sealed packaging to make sure that the budtender didn’t grab you something completely different. Now when the “qualified” person grabbed you the wrong medicine, you now own it the second you touch it, no exchange, no refund, just sorry your fault. THIS IS MEDICINE. You wouldn’t give any one else the wrong MEDICINE and tell them oops, sorry, looks like your taking that one instead because our, “qualified budtender” just grabbed you something you don’t want and physically can’t consume. If you just spent your last dime on your medicine and this place knowingly gives you the wrong medicine and you are stuck with it and even if they do decide to maybe refund you after a long and drawn out process, it could be thirty days. This is absolutely abhorrent behavior. After frequenting this dispensary countless times I will never go back and I will make my personal mission to inform everyone of their illegal and completely incompetent handling of medicine.

I'm really dissapointed in my experience at this clinic. I came in expecting them to have some working knowledge of the 40 medical conditions approved by IL, and be able to provide specific strains to help my symptoms. They had no idea what mine was, and have offered nothing that has helped. I've had to do my own research and they don't carry any of the strains recommended. Go elsewhere.
