This strain gave me a great high.. It gave me a giggly, uplifted, and relaxed high. One of my top 5 favorite strains.

This strain ranks in with some of the best for me.Ever since back in high school when we smoked a chunk off of a "Thai Stick" I was pretty much sold.I alway's loved the intense calm relaxing high it produced.I find its not a strain for when you have a lot to accomplish but for when you have some time to kick back and relax.

My relationship with Thai weed began in 1975. A friend (vet of Vietnam war) had a connection which provided a steady, seasonal stream of 55 gallon garbage bags full of the golden to dark brown, tightly packed, roughly 3 x 5 inch bricks of around 12 to 20 (depending on individual size) bamboo sticks with little buds entwined about each stick with thin twine that looked like a narrow strip pulled from a bamboo or marijuana stalk. With seed banks, changing laws, the internet and the profuse expansion in popularity of breeding and growing, I have long hoped and searched to find hints of this strain somewhere. It seems this long lost friend has completely vanished: In the countless descriptions, reviews, anecdotes I've read, the key to Thai sticks is missing. The stories lack the single defining aspect of Thai that anybody who took their first pull off a joint of this stuff in the 70's will immediately attempt to clarify in their reminiscing of that magical moment. It is the taste, period. Instantly, a person who knew this pot and smelled or smoked some unknown variety of weed someone passed to them at a party or concert would say "OMG it's THAI!!" The point being that Thai stick had a sweet and spicy flavor that was absolutely unmistakable, unique and easily recognizable. Yes, I agree, a fantastic high. Energetic, brainy, psychedelic, etc. but the high and other aspects of this pot, while unique, are not nearly as (or in truth at all) unique as the taste. There was no way a person could possibly confuse the taste and think it was anything but Thai, and no other pot, ever, anywhere, has a taste anything like the taste of those wonderful little sticks. You can wrap anything on a stick. If it looks like Thai, smells like Thai and gives you a high like Thai, it isn't Thai. Unless it tastes like Thai: In that case, it can't be anything other than Thai. I never met anyone who smoked the real thing and disagrees with this. I got some Thai seeds from a bank in Nederlande. I live in a hot, hot climate. I have my little but tall greenhouse and 4 plants of Thai about 20 inches in height. I don't have much hope it will actually taste like Thai sticks. The vanishing of Thai sticks: This, truly, is the worst part of growing old.

Thai is nice--good for relaxing while maintaining one's faculties. A few joints in and you're ready for an enjoyable walk around the city or in the park or around your neighborhood. Not the best high I've had, but certainly not a bad one, Thai is good for the quick relaxant in the afternoon or evening.

I smoked "Cherry Thai" out of a glass pipe. There were a couple stems in the two little buds I loaded and personally I take those out before I smoke because I don't care to get a headache. The high lasted a long time, a few hours. I had MAJOR munchies but my knee and back didn't hurt anymore. Incredible for pain relief despite the lower THC, around 19%. I got EXTREMELY paranoid as well, someone came home and got out of their car and was talking on the phone. I happened to be looking out the window with pipe in hand and thought she looked at me and I freaked, went and changed my clothes and how my hair was so she couldn't try and describe me accurately. Then I realized I was being paranoid and laughed for a minute and went to watch TV. I felt creative but also lazy, so I went on Pinterest and looked up ideas for DIY bed canopies, and did a load of laundry and played with my son. I have smoked this also with friends previously out of a bong. Great body high with a slight couch lock that is easily broken; as soon as you get up, you have a burst of energy. Overall I would recommend this strain 8/10.

Really nice old school sativa that isn't too overpowering. Ideal for a wake and bake or light activities. It is one of the more leafy strains which and looks a greenish brown with a mild woody earthy aroma to it. When bought its really tightly compressed and sometimes wrapped in red string. Not sure about prices in America but in UK and The Netherlands it costs about half the price than skunk, sometimes less.

I can't say as positive things about Thai as others have. If you simply want something that "works" then sure it works. But the effects are not the best. It doesn't give a very clear high. It has very weak pain relief effects, yet it causes very uncomfortable tingling in hands and a very unimpressive cerebral feeling that I've felt better from other strains. It does cause appetite rather quickly. Just not very good on its own in my opinion. Hybrids made with Thai, many of those are nice.
