I definitely enjoyed this strain. After dinner, took a couple of small hits and it eased my headache and also relaxed me (equivalent to a xanax effect). Still functioned well, laid back and read for a bit. Before going to bed, upped the dose to prevent my insomnia. Definitely slept well, woke up on time, and not sluggish or groggy like some strains can do to me.

Like the effects. Still getting use to the flavor but i think it’ll grow on me.
A great cake strain thats sweet smelling heavy hitting and has a plethora of diamond crystals within. Kept me high for a while even with my crazy tolerance and is now my second favorite strain to wedding cake
My all time favorite strain. If, I only had one strain to smoke the rest of my life this would be it. Necture of the gods
i think this strain blows a lot of those big hitters out of the park. this strain is sour but sweet its is pungent and it takes quick effect. if you like the hybrid leaning indcas this is it ! i rate this a 7 out of 10. and i smoke daily so.

If you're looking for relief from chronic pain, Captain's Cake is as good as Dakini Kush, 9lb Hammer, Bubba Kush, Purple Punch, et al. For me, at least, it is rare to find a strain that not only relieves pain, but also rewards with a body high. This strain did so. So. Even knowing that everyone's physiology is different, I will still say:
If you want relief, if you want mellow, if you want someone to whisper away your pain for a while and to remind you to step back and take a breath...
Maybe at least consider trying Captain's Cake? I doubt it will hurt, and it might even help.
My all-time favorite strain hands-down. I agree with all the comments below that one to two hits is all you need. It’s a perfect blend of Indica and sativa, the flower itself is beautiful and the smoke has a wonderful taste.
It’s extremely rare that I remember a strain — captains cake is more than welcome to live in my brain rent 😛 🥲
