I was recommended this strain by a budtender. I asked her for a strain that would work well for when I'm feeling tense and anxious. It works ok for that. It does relax me, but I found that it tends to keep me up (in more ways that one).
I expected this relaxing strain to help me fall asleep, but it didn't seem to have that affect on me. I tend to hyper focus on this and end up staying up all night watching TV. I find it hard to fall asleep on this.
Another interesting effect of this is that it makes me incredibly horny. I don't know if that is a universal effect, but if you have a penis, you may find this quite uplifting...
This is definitely by far one of the best indica strains I’ve ever smoked. It hits quickly and it makes me so chilled and relaxed. It’s something I definitely would smoke before watching a movie with your significant other.
One joint is literally like drinking 3 shots of espresso
Easy smoke, tasty/earthy flavor with an immediate wave of relaxation and pain relief. I slept like a baby as well….which I NEVER do. This weed feels pure and makes me very relaxed
I've only had Afghani done right from one place, thus far, Curaleaf. Piney, cheesey, skunky on the olfactory and tongue. Beautiful giant clusters of orange pistils against sparkly light green. This one really sedates me, especially as a wake and bake. Start your day off right.
I picked this up on sale (od) and got it home and skeptically checked out the buds. Decent looking with some seeds. Hit the bong twice and was blown away at how high I was. The day before I was smoking 15 dollar a gram premium herb and this cheap Afghani just knocked me on my ass. $30 for a ounce is crazy for this level of product but its true i found it at project releaf and one other dispensary so its around. Buy this now you will love it
Incredible "original", non- hybridized strain that delivers a euphoric, pain-free and psychadelic experience.
This is one of the "true OG" strains used for hashish, and is a go- to for me now.
This strain delivers a Much cleaner high for me than most hybrids.
The taste is delightful - pine/woody flavor.
This is a great one to have in nature or mellow indoor environment, as the effects are best enjoyed where one can completely give in to the paychadelic/spiritual effects.
Great for listening to music, contemplating life, art, journaling, etc...
Review is based on the organic outdoor grown strain from Mayhew Organics (New Mexico). @mayhew
The mayhew is low THC (19%) but also low CBD. Comes on strong and full effects are present in 30 minutes for me.
Highly recommended.
My strain is from Gold Leaf in Annapolis, fresh ground flower in my bong at ~15% THC. My budtender said to not discount this strain due to its overall THC content--I also requested a strain best for insomnia/pain and this was one of the first strains to be pulled from behind the counter. I figured that right now, 3 AM with a stomach/headache one-two punch, would be the best time to see how well this strain might knock me on my a**, because I surely need it, LOL.
Upon opening the bag, I get hit with the woody, earthy smell that others are mentioning. Not a huge fan of the odor at first blush, but that's a me-and-my-nose problem.
Hits smooth and feel slight effects upon first inhale. Not an overwhelming taste; I'd describe it as faintly licking the ground or a rock. Definitely a body high, as my typing hands cannot keep up with my thinking brain. I feel a wave of calmness that is indescribable but comforting nonetheless.
After about 15 minutes, the sleepiness kicked in; I'll probably be up for another hour or so, but it will most certainly be lights-out past that point. Calming and stress-relieving, a true indica if I've smoked one. I'd deduct a half star for the taste/smell, but seeing that's not possible, I'll give it five stars simply because it does what was advertised, and does it very well.
