The pretty photos you see are the old dispensary Midwest Compassionate Care. Verilife bought them out. No posters. No nice rooms. Crappy inside. NO DISCOUNT/"FREQUENT FLYER" programs for MEDICAL PATIENTS (Romeoville location only?!?). I transferred my dispensary from 3C Joliet because Verilife Romeoville was much CLOSER & more convenient. 3C Joliet always gave me handsome discounts based on my past purchases. Here's what I've learned (valuable lesson). There is NO DISCOUNT PROGRAM like every other dispensary for medical patients. ROMEOVILLE VERILIFE IS THE ONLY DISPO THAT DOES NOT WORK WITH MEDICAL PATIENTS TO PROVIDE INCENTIVES OR DISCOUNTS. (Though ALL other VERILIFE locations DO!!!) Close by...but BYE-BYE Verilife Romeoville. BIG MISTAKE TO GIVE YOU MY $$$. I'll shop anywhere else!!! NEVER AGAIN. ‍

Will this location ever reopen or is it closed permanently? The website now says that it's medical only does that mean that it's open for patients? The hours are unavailable and I have not received any new information although I was told I would be updated. Please let me know when I can come to make purchases.

I'm sorry guys, since the buyout/ name change things have gotten bad. I still havent gotten any points from writing reviews this year and I get the run around at the shop and no one responds to the emails I reach out, I have been very loyal since july 25 2018 and so this is one reason for this review. The other thing is I switched over at the start of dec to another place because they had flower. I come back to verilife on the 3rd of Jan and no this is a rec place now, I think it's unfair that I have to wait in a mile line for medicine but the stoners get first dibs, BULL SHIT!!!!. Rec should not be allowed at this facility and now I know it's to massively capitalize. Build another facilty like you all have been saying what was gonna happen. My loyalty is to the people from midwest compassion, not the verilife name or the shitty corporation behind it. For the ones still there that were originally midwest compassion, I'm sorry for this but ever since this shitty corporation bought you guys out, the store hasnt been the same and I think you guys know shit hasnt been right but are doing your best and I thank the original mcc staff for that. If your medical I recomend finding a med only facility untill this bullshit dies down, but feel free if you want to wait in a mile long line.

No product, medical patients are by no means priority over recreational. Took 2 weeks to get their medical menu online. Recreational menu was up a week before medical. They offered 1 (non-disposable) cartridge, they were unable to ring the cartridge up and therefore, I left with nothing. Loved Midwest Compassion, they offered a good variety and the people were very caring. Most of the people who work there are still caring and want to help. But you can tell that their not as happy and frustrated that they cannot assist medical patients properly.

Great first time patient deal. I asked them to match Joliet 3C holiday specials with same strain and same grower package without luck. They will not match prices of other dispensaries for that reason I would not go back to give them my business. Just to put it out there the special was $40 for an 8th which is not unreasonable. Basically that is street price.

Not sure why VL keeps telling folks about issues with supply chain and shortages...Other Disp locations have way more med selection which allows for strain specific relief. A short ride to Posen or Joliet or Mokena and you can have 10-20 options. Here = 2/3 options and outdated menu. I am posting so VL can address this and be successful. Not sure where their supply chain got so hosed but others have seemed to figure it out for med patients. Wish MCC still existed but ok with change as long as it is progressive. not so far...

MCC used to be great until they sold the company to a bigger corporation and a few of the staff left. Business practices slipped, product is not consistent, leaking jars and short grams, they care less about patients and want you in and out as fast as possible. They also had taken some of my glass artwork to sell at their location under consignment, told me how excited they were to sell their patients work. A couple months later management decided to keep my glass art and never pay me the couple hundred they owed. Pretty shady business practice all around now. I will never ever recommend this place to anyone based on everything I’ve listed. Pick a different dispensary if you care about where your money goes.

This place has gone downhill severely. Still have days where I’m waiting 20 minutes even tho I have an online order ready to go. Why r the med patients not being taken somewhere else to resign up after the transition instead of at the window. I’m waiting behind two three people who need to re register and have their info entered and than still waiting inside because instead of ringing up online orders I am again waiting behind people who need to look at the menu and ask 500 questions. Why r they not being taken aside so people who r doing the online order can be in and out. Also placed an online order for a certain flower got the 9 yes 9 text messages confirming and letting me know my order was ready for pickup and when I get there I’m told they were out of that certain flower even tho I place my order two minutes after you say your open. But my issue was I drive 30 minutes to get to this place why would I not have received a text or call saying my orders couldn’t be fulfilled. I can’t just waste a thirty minute drive for nothing

I need to have access to my medical marijuana. It's the only means I have to control pain and anxiety. I found out that the dispensary was broken into last week. When will you reopen???? We are not allowed to go to another dispensary for medical marijuana. So, the only way to get Medical is to change dispensary's.

Used to be great but now that rec is coming , they’ve stopped selling flower to save up for recreational . This can only mean they have no care for us , actual patients in need... what a shame..

I've gotten the run around every, single time I've gone here. The staff is always good but have little answers. 1Why is there limited products? Why was all the product in December given only to recreational? Why can't i order the ounces and/or strains that help me, like i was told? Why was there only indica strains? I was told patients come first, but, not true when recreational gets strains that we don't or are out of on medical. No deals, really, anymore. Its Big Business at its finest.

I live in the Aurora/Naprville area. So there are three dispensaries that I have local for me. All three have their strengths and weaknesses, but Midwest Compassion Center the winner. The only con I can give this place is that it it is about a 15-20 min drive for me. When you walk in, there is a spacious waiting area. I have never had to wait there though. Upon arrival, I have always been greeted and served almost immediately. After going through the security doors, they have it set up nice on the inside. Lots of cool and unique features. Screens to view order options, other merchandise to view. It is different than the other dispensaries I have been to in the area. The staff as a whole is awesome and very helpful. They have never been anything but friendly and helpful to me.The selection of products is usually good. Although, there was a time that their inventory was kind of low. Luckily it did not effect my purchases though, and they were restocked very soon after that. for the most part they are usually pretty well stock with a good variety. They have a program where every dollar you spend, you earn what they call cannpoints. Cannapoints can used toward product when the accumulate to a certain point. Their customer service is also on point. I had a small issue with a product. They took the time to communicate and troubleshoot with me.They also have a order online option. This is awesome for when popular items come in. You can order it online and they will hold it for you. I am grateful for this place and consider it my "main dispensary." If you live around Romeoville, check it out. Even if you don't, you should still check it out.

I almost hesitated writing this because to be honest, I don’t want a bunch of people knowing about how awesome this dispensary is! Every single time I go in ( even if its to grab an ONLINE ORDER) I have so much fun! Every single person who works at this dispensary is beyond kind, helpful, funny and caring. Sometimes I almost feel better physically just hanging with these guys for 15 minutes or so! I am NOT marijuana knowledgeable at all, but these guys really are and have been SUCH a huge help to me! It’s like you can tell them (any single one of them)what is hurting or bothering you, and they know exactly what you need. I know God blesses me by sending me to this dispensary. I was debating between two and am so grateful I’m at Midwest! Trust me, you will be SO happy if you choose this dispensary. They have SO many choices of what to buy, too! I’ve been able to try something new every time I’ve gone in. Love this place AND more so, the people in it! - Leslie Viscioni

My dad uses this dispensary and was just told today that if he wants flower he will have to transfer to another dispensary. What is going on?

Rec this and rec that! Verilife is making the best of this rec mess. I'll admit that I am not happy sharing MY dispensary with all these potheads but Verilife is doing their best to make it easier.

Romeoville I wanted to switch dispensaries to this location. I called and asked if I would be able to come in, look at their menu, since it’s not online. No one wants to switch dispensaries, end up unhappy, and have to go through all the trouble of switching back. They said I couldn’t come in to look at their menu and couldn’t even give me just a quick price for verano wax which is all I smoke. Called other dispensaries and were all ok with me coming in to look at their menu since online menus aren’t always accurate. Not accommodating at all off the bat. I’ll drive 30 mins to EarthMed and continue giving them my business instead of going 5 mins down the road...

As a patient in Illinois, I'd only ever been to one dispensary. I'm a writer and review various cannabis accessories, including vaporizers, grinders, and more. So, when I needed some free-standing BHO (NOT in a pre-filled cart), I was left high and dry. After sending out a bat call on Instagram, MCC reached out and said they could order me a refillable BHO syringe. I immediately jumped on the opportunity, and accepted the offer. Since it was my first time switching, I was anxious as heck, and decided to call them up, to see if I could bring my dog. Without hesitation, the staff invited him along on my visit. When I finally showed up, there were a few people there, but I didn't have to wait too long. While the building is on the smaller side, it didn't feel cramped or dark. Rather, it was a very comfortable atmosphere, with multiple places to sit and relax. When it was finally my turn, both Tom and Bill were available. Bill ran back to snag my refillable syringe, and Tom showed me the menu. I've recently been on a concentrate kick, as they make my lungs much happier. I'd been hesitant to make the full switch, for the sake of my tolerance. But, I've been very happy about it since. Tom ran me through both the sale concentrates, as well as the full-priced ones. I was impressed with the number available, but what impressed me the most was the sheer amount of information with each product. Each one had a thorough description, in addition to the symptoms it alleviates. Other dispensaries certainly have this information, but not at-the-ready in the same way MCC does. My interest was piqued, by Reserva Privada--a huge help for my anxiety, and I'd never tried the live sugar. At that point, Tom had already informed me of their first time deal: Buy 2 products, Get 1 Free (of equal or lesser value). Since I already had the syringe, and I wanted the sugar, he encouraged me to use the coupon. Why take an extra trip down here? Flipping through the list a bit more, I decided on a gram of DJ Flow live sugar. With that, I headed over to the register, showed my ID once more, and was on my way. Hands-down, no questions asked, I'd absolutely visit MCC again. Their staff is exceedingly knowledgable, kind, and friendly. If you haven't made it down there yet, you should! (Also, they have online ordering--who the heck doesn't like that convenience?!)

I used to love coming here. Everyone knew my name. Now it’s like being treated like a Hurd of cows. It’s become so impersonal, and too “store like”. It has lost is warm welcoming feeling for medical patients. I probably would recommend a friend.
