This place is like the 7-11 of weed: It offers cheap thrills with little to no service and they want you in and out. They've remodeled the store that actually make it more like the DMV and less like a store. You wait in a winding queue, some disaffected youth asks you what you want and generally seems annoyed by your presence. If you ask for recommendations they're like "uuuuhhh, maybe this one, I guess." This is a place you go if you want really cheap weed and don't really care what you get, or you want an immense selection of weed and come in knowing what you want. Don't expect any help, expect to spend a lot of time in line like you're in some kind of factory.

Honestly, Ike's gets a bad rap for being too commercial, and for the lined-cattle thing, but it's busy for a reason. They have excellent deals, and really great selection and quality product. This is my go-to weed shop. I will agree that the bud tenders can be hit or mis on occasion, but I've experienced that at literally every shop I've ever been to... just like every other place, some bud tenders are pot heads and some are weed experts. You just gotta find the right one.

This was the very first recreational store that I visited and I must say, I won't be returning. I have been an avid consumer of cannabis for over 10 years. I wound up feeling very rushed, felt as though I was being talked to like a child ( as though my knowledge of flowers and concentrates wasn't up to par ) and had a serious case of buyers remorse. The only pleasant part of the experience was the kind gentleman checking ID's out front. That was the only smile I saw during my entire stay at Uncle Ike's, that's kind of sad...
The flowers that I purchased looked PHENOMENAL but I hated the fact that I couldn't smell or even see the bud up close in a jar or anything prior to purchase. I trusted my instinct and purchased some Maui, Animal Cookies and some Jack. When I'm telling you that the buds looked great, I'm not kidding. I also purchased some "wax" from them, the strain was .5g Flux Capacitor and 1g of Skywalker and trust me…they suck! I think it was some sort of trim run because both were dark brown and I would not have purchased this oil if I could see it. I trusted the budtender and I feel like I was told one thing and received another.
I was so excited to grind up the flowers after my poor wax gave me more of a headache than a high and my D Nail smelled like shit for a good 2 minutes while it burned off the residual oil that I refused to smoke. The flowers ground up nicely and even had a bit of a nice aromatic flavor, I was excited. One hit in a bowl and I knew I had basically been robbed. Each strain tasted like there were literally ZERO terps in them. Each strain still sits in there respective packages and I refuse to smoke the product. Now I know that Uncle Ike's does not produce their own cannabis but if this is the type of product that their growers and producers provide on a regular basis then I will never go back. I know that Uncle Ike's is one of the most popular stores in the Seattle area, but there are plenty of other options for the seasoned smoker to visit to receive the type of customer service and product that they deserve. Let the novice smoker and the 9-5'er stay loyal to Uncle Ike's, I'll take my business elsewhere.

Terrible place, door guy is a f****** jackass who deserves to be fired, and the meds are nothing special.

I love Uncle Ike's!! They have some of the best deals in Seattle. And Manny is our most favorite bud tender!! :)

First experience in a dispensary... Terrance, who works the door, was very knowledgeable and kindly went through the extensive menu with me before I got in line. I am completely impressed with the patience and knowledge of the staff. Stacee was my budtender, she too was happy to walk me through the products and answered all my questions about different strains and inventory they carry (mainly prerolls).
Both Terrance and Stacee are the reasons I will be coming back in the near future. (cough cough-even if it is all the way from East Tennessee!)
Thanks again, y'all !
p.s. the glass next door is gorgeous- great prices and friendly faces there too!

convenient but not much parking, had to wait for one to open up.
But I was so impressed by Alexis who was very enthusiastic and incredibly helpful, answering all of my questions and made good recommendations . She is a keeper. If I had not retired I would have hired her away from you. ...

The store looks great, in fact it it real easy to look around and get a sense of what is available to purchase besides flowers and edibles. I have been to several dispensaries and the quality has never been bad at any of them, so I am glad that Ikes gives me the same experience.
My problem is the service. The line is long almost all the time. A few days I was able to go during the morning hours, but even by 11:30 - 12:15 the line is long enough for you to feel rushed by the time you get to the counter. The bud-tenders do not alleviate you of that feeling either. I have been at a few places where I have felt comfortable asking a few questions about the products that I am purchasing even it there are a lot of customers on the floor. Almost every time I ask a question at Ikes I get the feeling they are telling me what I want to hear to buy what I came in for. I had one employee in particular straight lie to me about a particular method of extraction for extracts. I can understand how they feel having to look at the really long lines all day, but I feel like as someone who has worked retail, that it is okay to say you don't know something. It really helps people figure out what they want.
The prices are okay, but they typically run out of many strains quickly, and I constantly find myself spending more than I budgeted because I am "there" and don't want to wait to go to another store.
I suppose if they get a more stable selection, and the bud-tenders get a little more experience or the lines get shorter I might go back. But for now there are a lot more locations that provide a much better service for less near where I work...

I am a very regular customer at Uncle Ike's, budgeting $1200 a month to enjoy the offerings provided at this location. Or at least I should say I was a regular customer. The fact is this: They have a good store with a premium product, but the consistently poor customer service and rushed, indifferent attitudes of the "bud tenders" create a negative vibe and experience that makes it very difficult to justify the money and enjoy the experience. To be fair, I have had experiences with almost every "bud tender" in the store, and many are very good and capable of providing the experience one should enjoy when employing their privilege to purchase legal marijuana in the state of Washington. In fact, I shop here out of the principle that, despite paying higher prices, it shows the state that this is a sustainable and valuable industry to the economy. To get the most out of your experience if you choose to come here, ask for one of the following "bud tenders:" Kenji, Montez, Andrew, Richard, Jay, Sarah A., or Nya. They are excellent examples of providing a premium experience and getting you the goods you are looking for. It is my experience that I cannot recommend asking for any other "bud tenders." Now, generally speaking there is more good than bad about Uncle Ike's, but as a regular customer I am becoming less enamored with the treatment and experience, which is the opposite experience one should have as a "regular." Unfortunately, as with many experiences in life, a few times being treated poorly outweighs the majority of the times you receive a positive experience, and this has happened more than a few times. I cannot in good faith say that taking the trip to this well known establishment is worth the time and money as your chances of having a good time and getting what you want is not so good, which really bums me out, but one needs to know when to cut losses. Thank you for the memories, Uncle Ike's, and I wish you the best in your future hiring practices and customer service training in order to truly take advantage of the wonderful new world of legal cannabis that you could be the prime examples of, if you choose to be. Good luck!

Came in to Uncle Ikes at a very busy time and was assisted by Eryn who was super sweet and helpful, running back and forth to grab different options until she found exactly what we needed. She really made our experience with her patient and professional attitude ☺️

Uncle Ike's are my FAVORITE shops so far in WA, the 15thst shop and the union st shop are amazing, its often busy, but I've never felt rushed by the staff, large selection at both stores :) HIGHly recommend

I wouldn't go here if I had a car. First off Ive been coming at least 5 times a week since the Capitol Hill location opened. Theres been so many times where I was waiting in line and a new customer walks in right up to a counter ignoring the line, and the customer service rep ignores the line as well and just helps the new guy. This has happened to me at least 8-12 times. Now I'm finally writing a bad review because today I show up at 11:44 on the dot, run up the stairs, I see a few workers standing behind the counter helping a few customers, and the door man is just turning the open sign off. I tap on the door and he ignores me (its 11:44 turning 11:45), I told him I just ran up the hill and its just turning 11:45 AS WE SPEAK, on top of that Im a daily customer. The door man just looked at me and rudely said "NO!". I'm good friends with a few people who work here. And I get turned away at the door 1 minute prior to closing after running up the hill in the cold, all while theres still a few customers and employees just chillin. The reason this is offensive is that it was 11:44 and totally up to the door man. He would rather be an arsehole. No thanks Unkle Ikes. OH! The gram bags almost all weigh .8-.9! Dont believe me? Just buy a gram of something and weigh it out! Manager said that shouldnt happen. Well it does every time.

I find it rather unfortunate that this place is as popular as it is given that they are trying to end medical marijuana in the state of Washington. Instead of pushing for regulations to be adopted by the medical program, they are calling for the outright end of it.
One of the reasons they cite for this is that these medical dispensaries are costing the state money in the form of tax revenue (even though they are medical patients that would have those taxes refunded).
They also claim that concentrates are "the crack of weed" and that anything with more than 15% isn't medically necessary.
However they gladly sell these same items while saying medical dispensaries should be closed for doing the same.
The owner of Uncle Ike's and his workers (and their friends/family) also fluff up reviews here and on facebook. They also flag and ban accounts on Facebook that leave them negative reviews or ask questions they are uncomfortable with answering.
Don't just take my word for it, here is that letter they sent:
http://www.scribd.com/doc/250521804/MeinartLetter#scribd
I've repeatedly been told that the owner doesn't believe in everything in this letter ( even though he put his company's name on it), which certainly doesn't put my worries at ease.
I've also asked if they ever sent a follow-up explaining that they don't agree with the original letter. That has never been responded to.

I felt very rushed through the entire process. Not much time to learn, ask questions, or shop.. I'm trying to think of something to compare it to. High volume, high speed,

Most rude, unhelpful staff in all of Seattle all under one gentrified roof. Employees have an awful attitude and you are forced in a cattle line giving you 0 time to make a selection. I recently got 7g for 40$, great deal, STILL not worth it. Corny vibes all around.

One of if not the worst pot store in Seattle. It's the Walmart of weed in all the worst ways. Terrible selection. Terrible bang for your buck. Terrible menu. Terrible staff. I barely mentioned needing weed for a medical purpose/missing the medical market and the budtender started to lambast what used to be medicinal dispensaries and insinuated there were no actual medical users. As a disabled woman, I am valid and don't expect to be berated by a budtender. Finally, when I reported these concerns on Yelp, a manager immediately reached out with tons of questions. I answered some, and then said "to get more meaningful feedback, you should invite other community members in and compensate them for their time and labor." A different manager seemed to think this meant that I was asking to be paid to edit my review - I'm a person with integrity (unlike the owner of Ike's and his managers) and wouldn't ask that and do not appreciate being accused of it publicly. And yes, I keep screenshots of everything.

I've been coming to Uncle Ike's for quite awhile. Lately it's been more hassle than it's worth. They have an awesome selection but their staff isn't particularly helpful. It might not be their fault though; it's always so crowded that the whole experience is very "get-in-and-out-ASAP." Its glass shop next door has friendly staff though.

All in all, I will say ok. Prices definately are NOT "cheaper" than everywhere as they claim, they are just selling for what they can depending on what they get it for. Their "cheap" weed is also lower quality, along with every other retail pot shop. The producer/processors are responsible for the quality and unlike some of the whining out there, retailers aren't taking anything from producer/processors. A lot of the producing clowns don't know how to run a business so they blame retailers. This place and another, which I've reviewed, have some of the best pricing categories. Things to improve on; selection, menu doesn't work well on website and a bit more product training.

If I could give negative stars I would, terrible customer service, poor weed quality and just overall a bad experience, security guards treated me so terrible and after arriving in the shop the bud tenders seemed like they didn't know anything about the different strains or what strains could help with my illness, was not impressed and ended up going somewhere else for my marijuana needs

Stopped by Ike's for the first time yesterday. Felt like the selection was pretty thin there for a shop with such high acclaim. The shop was smaller than most and had a very fast-paced, rushed feeling when inside. Service was decent at best, could have been more helpful with my questions. Not the worst place I've been but most likely won't make another visit.

I'm not sure what all the hype is about, I guess location and convenience can take the place of quality and service. I will not be back.

This is my all time favorite shop!! You can’t beat their prices! Ask about their $40 zips! I got a top shelf strain and it was great quality wise. The only issue was that it was dry and some of the bids where small. It was an easy fix to rehydrate the marijuana, and after it was rehydrated it was perfect. Beats spending over $200 on the same strain from other places! Best deals ever!! The only complaint I have is a few of the bud tenders have ego issues and have given out false information. Other than those few bad apples the rest of the staff is great!!

It's a nice spot but feels like a sports store inside. The staff was super friendly and there was a lot of people so I was glad they didn't have a wait.
