Sunnyside Cannabis Dispensary - Wrigleyville

I like the prices compared to another dispensary I visited since legalization.

The buying experience was quick and easy. Will definitely return and recommend.

I’ve been to this location 51 times and spent over $12k at this location. The loyalty rewards are meek to say the least. Parking is rough if you are driving. They are so slow at this location. They say it’s because of rush times but I’ve tried all days and times and it’s just pretty much this way all the time. You need to block 30-60 mins out get through it and be prepared for your pre-ordered product to run out. I complained once, which I don’t normally do and I just got a crap answer that it’s just a rush. Since I have 51 visits I can honestly say this looks like a staffing model issue. Lastly you have to go through a two step process to get your order. Waiting in one location then going across the street to the other to finalize the transaction. So if you are a busy person this isn’t the place for you!

Worst in the city of Chicago! Security guards take there job to far ! Very rude and disrespectful! Prices are ridiculous! Hour wait!!! Never enough staff and again the security is horrible no customer service skills! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! Don’t bother

I’ve been coming here for two years now. I will say that this place started off a pretty rough back when they first opened but has become better and better every time I step in the door. The staff is wonderful from security to the budtenders I will say and has been from the start. The vibe is clean/upscale and the staff bring the culture. It’s Illinois so it’s taxed but the quality is fantastic.

The staff is always very helpful and friendly! The new location is much better. Would recommend.

Walking into this spacious, lovely space with knowledgeable, friendly people was day and night over the typical experience at the chain (initially primarily out in the southland), Windy City. Reasonable prices and more importantly, reasonable wait times.

Over the last week my girlfriend and I have received excellent customer service from all of the staff but would specifically like to thank Stella for helping me find those live resin Pineapple Express gummies and Jerusalem for helping her select vape pens and watermelon treats. We love them all and definitely will return.

Sunnyside is my main dispensary (medicine user). I have picked up here multiple times. Everything is so so. Not amazing but good enough. They have good prices compared to other dispensaries in that area. The Sunnyside’s customer staff has always been friendly. I should mention that I did have a problem with the security guard once. Im medicinal and under 21 so there was once when the guard pulled me aside to ask for the address on my ID. I did just that and gave him my address on the card. I understand protocol. However, protocol doesn’t mean to joke around with me. The guard responded “thats not the address on the ID” then after some dialogue said “oh just kidding, your right.” Thats unprofessional service.

I went on my lunch hour and waited in line for 20 minutes. When I got to the counter the ticket they printed off for me was for the wrong product (Sativa instead of Indica). I caught the error and had to tell the teller. After I paid I was walking out and noticed they gave me the wrong strain. I went back to a manager and pointed out the mistake. He said they were out of that product but- and these were his exact words- "It's still an indica." Let that sink in- a dispensary switched out a product and didn't tell me about it because it was the same brand (High Supply) and in their minds that was OK to do. I said it's been less than 2 hours and your policy says you hold orders for that long. He said they're under no obligation to hold it and then once again I'm quoting here, "What- do you think we have someone waiting in the back holding the product for you?" From there he apologized and stared at me waiting to see if I would take the product or not. I'm not being hyperbolic here, that's the exact transaction I just had.

Staff is always friendly. Good selections. Why on earth do you have a medical facility in the heart of Wrigleyville? You have people with medical needs and you treat it like it's one of the get-wasted bars it's next to. I put off visiting for two days because of trying to figure out how to go avoiding Cubs games. Put off getting medication for two days. I Wish people just needed cannabis for partying!??. That's the message you're obviously trying to send, putting this next to a strip of bars. So this one is medical but not the River North one. You have patients with PTSD barreling their way through sensory-overload Cubs game madness just to get medicine. Speaks for itself and looks bad. The industry is becoming exclusive to medical patients. I will never be back.

Not sure why it takes so damn long to get what I’m paying for. I understand the line gets long but it barely moves. Every time I come in for something it’s an hour of my life gone. It’s a very simple process to pickup so I’m not sure why people are spending 15 minutes at the counter?

The staff here is always friendly and accommodating. I've even had the staff redo my order because they could save me a few bucks and either get the same or more for the same price or less depending on applied discounts.

UPDATE: couldn’t add another review but wanted to mention Again how amazing your staff is Corey took the time to listen to my concerns. He empathized with the fact that I am terminally ill and helped me pick the right more cost effective choice for me! That is huge. Thank you, Corey!! Also I had to come back when I couldn’t figure out how to put the battery together. Nani came outside and fixed it for me in no time! She was kind and also very empathetic. Everyone in staff at Sunnyside is exceptional. From the guards to the managers and all in between. Thank you for making a rough time (the roughest) easier.

Have gone in twice. First time everything was great. Second time was nearing close and I was there to grab one thing. The security guard out front said they weren’t taking walk-ins but I could order online. I put in an order, showed the confirmation and then was told they don’t use leafy for online ordering even though it shows here that they do. . My order stayed as pending until it closed and then was marked picked up. I went somewhere else instead.

Long lines, longer with medical card holders popping in front. It’s a shame there isn’t a designated lane or two for medical users. The wait in line system is a drag. The whole experience is like waiting in line for an amusement park ride, forever. Nobody to answer questions, so when you get to the checkout desk (after forever) you feel pressured to check out and not ask questions. No separation of pre-orders and people shopping… etc. seriously for a big company they haven’t thought this through well.

I would like to give a shoutout to Christine, one of the kindest and most friendly budtenders I’ve come across at Sunnyside. She’s very knowledgeable, great at answering as many questions as you have, and always makes me feel so welcome at the Wrigleyville location. She never tries to rush you out of the store and is generally a great person.

I’ve went to this dispensary multiple times and everyone is always so sweet, and so helpful. They always make sure I get what I need. I haven’t had anyone who hasn’t been extremely helpful. The menu has a great selection and they always have a good stock of items. Even though I have to drive an hour, I do because I enjoy this dispensary that much.

Staff is very knowledgeable and cool. Alyson helped me find a new strain that I love!! She rocks!

I’m a medical user and have never had any issues with this location. Staff is friendly. Website is always updated with what’s in stock and they consistently have sales.
