Greenside Recreational - Des Moines

I've been coming here since they first opened and I love how the shop is expanding. Great service, online orders are super quick. ATMs available and also you can just get your paper and pipes there as well. I love it here. I know most budtenders by name, and they always come through with whatever strain I feel like lighting up. I definitely drop by here when I'm around the area. Only problem is my favorite strain is pricey here, and it only comes on Thursdays if I want to make the deal...

This was the first shop I visited that also had snacks for sale. Yep, munchies for those of us who get hungry. Plus, the staff is friendly to newcomers.

I have shopped here many times. Me and my wife used to stop in a couple times a week. Mostly extracts, sometimes a couple 1 gram baggies to go along with it. Even after many times coming here the security guards still ask us to take our ID's out of their holders, where they are held up to the light and scrutinized. There are several different guards, all with nicknames on their security badges. If I can recall correctly, I believe there is Mr. Klean- of course he's a bald guy--then there is The Knuckler..Yikes, that sounds pretty scary, I hope he doesn't carry around rubber gloves and K-Y in his back pocket. I think another is : Inmate # 934520566.....Just kidding, but just sayin'....The parking lot outside is a big unsupervised gravel lot. We have been approached a few times by the local unsavory characters needing a donation to their favorite academic institution_ or a Four-O of the highest decibel malt beverage known to mankind. So you may want to bring your shank, cause just like Axl says..This is the jungle baby, and you're gonna die!!

This is a great place with amazing buds top shelf is my absolute favorite. great staff, friendly and helpful this is my shop I don't go anywhere else.

This location never steered me wrong. I always go here to get all my cannabis goods and I've always had a great experience here.

Awesome first time there, security jae was nice and helpful. Advised me of your 10% off my 5th visit when I came in. Store was packed but the line moved pretty fast. Good selection, I'll be backkkk.

This is an awesome location and I love the people here! They always have so many different strains available which I like trying new products which is good they give everyone a chance and not just have selected brands. I really Marni she is awesome and has great customer service!

I absolutely love Greenside. They have the largest selections I've seen in a recreational store thus far. The budtenders are incredibly knowledgable, and friendly. They even have a full service glass shop in the front of the store so you can get everything in one place!

I loved going here because it was easily accessible after work. Their policies about identification are ridiculous and very restrictive. I've never been denied for using my drivers license that has an expiration date of military before when I've visited this location on several other occasions until I was denied tonight. It's very upsetting to be denied out of nowhere when I've been coming to this location for months. They lost my business based on their policies that they only pick and choose to enforce.

My wife and I have been going here since they opened. The budtenders are extremely knowlegable and friendly. If you want the "Dream Team" of bud experience go on a Sunday morning when David, Dee, and Dominick are working. Together they have more information about strains and desirable effects than any other store. I have never gotten a bad recommendation from this store. We love Greenside, go check it out! ED

I would like go start with your store is so poorly labeled I missed the store the first time. After looking your location up online and seeing on your location had 1 gram of Ak45 co2 for $65 and when I arrived I am told no is a 1/2 gram for $65 not having my phone on me I could not show the counter help there site says otherwise. I felt mislead into coming to the location when I could have gone elsewhere and receive a much higher quality of products as well. Dissatisfaction with the whole experience was enough to say I will never be coming back.

NEVER AGAIN I FELT RUSHED. I STOOD IN LINE FOR A VERY LONG TIME. IT WASN'T A VERY NICE EXPERIENCE.

I went here for the first time today. parking was easy enough. Love that the weed is in the back in a really chill atmosphere. it was very clean and welcoming. My wait in line was short and the staff member that helped me was very fast and knowledgeable about different strains to try for my depression. I will be going back.

Odd that it's on an ugly, out of the way and unsafe location with probably the cheapest rent of any weed store and their prices are higher than the best prices in Bellevue.

Ok! After reading ALL of the reviews about Greenside, I'll give a review that wasn't done by a "5* rated employee" or an overzealous customer expecting to have an experience equivalent to Disneyland. Now, let's start with the security. I honestly have no issue with it, I understand the world we all live in and I'd do the same, if not more, if I ran a store filled with nothing but weed. Every time I've been there, they've all been pretty cool with me. Some guys try to act tough, but it's kind of their job you know. The front end of the store looks like any typical smoke shop, glassware, accessories etc... The back end is the actual dispensary, about 4 display stalls/kiosks and an employee per blah blah blah...For the most part everyone is generally nice but, like any job there are workers that are very knowledgeable and some that aren't. I've never really encountered anyone being rude but I have felt rushed a couple times but never treated with any disrespect. In all honesty I'm not here for them, I'm here to buy something...And I'm an adult that knows how to shop on my own. As for prices, the first few months they had really great deals and lots of selection. But obviously, when businesses grow they run into that whole "supply and demand" dilemma. And learn lessons when they sell "fat" 2g for $15 and some customer(s) comes in and buy large quantities in one instant and nearly wipe out the stock lol. Recently I've seen the prices go up a little, but the product is still good. And look at it this way, you/we are paying for convenience. Instead of having to call and or wait on your "guy", there is a place that provides it nearly 12 hours a day, 7 days a week. And as with most new businesses they need time to grow, these new laws were just recently passed, this shop is still less than a year old, and they will make some mistakes along the way. I think with some time it can and will "grow" into something bigger and better. I still have a few #s in emergency situations, but I do like, and prefer to be able to shop at an actual store that I can see what I'm buying before I buy it.

the shop is in a great location not to far from the house, staff members are pretty well too. parking lot needs a fix but the service oversees that little problem.

I just needed a new rig. When I walked in the security was so helpful and friendly. Next I got help from Amanda who was so helpful, knowledgable, and really cool! Thanks for helping this old schooler broaden her horizons!!

This review is for Danielle. She’s is absolutely perfect at what she does very welcoming she the reason I continue to come back. Always knowledgeable about strains, vapes and edibles. She’s always welcoming and very patient as she allows me to pick her brain about everything! 5 stars all the way!!!
