I switched to GreenGate from a different local dispensary a few months ago and I’m so happy I did! Advantages of GG over other dispensaries: They email a daily menu with prices and DAILY specials. I end up running over there all the time because of the great deals they happen to be having that day. My favorite wax just happened to be on sale today for $10 off! Their menu offers a wider range of products and at a variety of price points to meet everyone’s needs (the most expensive product is not always the best product for me). Their budtenders are super knowledgeable about the products and will let you see the packaging before buying. There is never a line or a wait. My favorite thing about GG is that I have a personal budtender, Chris, who knows my preferences and goes out of his way to order products I’ll like. Basically I walk in the door and Chris tells me what I want. Overall GG is the best experience I’ve had with dispensaries in IL.

Friendly staff, very clean and comfortable offices. Staff knows what recommendations need to be made and also suggest other products that may benefit my needs. Can’t say enough for these guys. Actually liked the atmosphere much better than my previous store. It’s less sterile.

Super intimate - never feel rushed. Seriously love the staff here. This was our first dispensary after moving to Chicago from LA. Little to no wait time with experienced and knowledgeable people that know what I’m looking for immediately

Sell outs. This dispensary used to be a small locally owned business until Big Cannabis came in and took over. Now everything is dummy expensive for the exact same product. Also, this company is VERANO and they’re know for multiple mold scandals and not telling the public about it.

I recently made the switch over to GreenGate after not falling in love with my first dispensary. And guys, this one is love at first sight. Everyone I’ve met from the security guard to the Owner, Bob Kingsley, has been so sweet and very knowledgeable or willing to ask around for ya if they aren’t sure. The products they have are also fantastic and the pricing is right where it should be in my opinion. Oh, AND they have a parking lot which is like +50 cool points right there! I would recommend this dispensary to any of my family and friends or anyone in the cannabis community. ❤️

This has been my dispensary to go for a year. The staff is super knowledgeable about their product and the atmosphere is friendly, calm, with a nice decor and parking on the property. I started using product for medical purposes a year ago. The world has changed so much in 2020! Now IL is both medicinal and recreational available for 21 years and older individuals. GreenGate stayed medicinal only until further notice as their process their license with the state. I am both happy about that, and confident that soon they will have access to service recreational clientele too. I want to talk this moment to say "thank you to the staff " for being so nice both in their professionalism and personal/human kindness. I appreciate all of your support and dedication you give your patients and patronage.

Recently switched to GreenGate and so glad I did. The staff made the process easy. This was my first visit and once inside I knew I made a good switch. Great atmosphere and really impressed by the selection. So much to choose from compared to my previous dispensary. I wish I could remember the gal's name who helped guide me on my way, she was genuine and very knowledgable. It was a great first visit.

I have visited dispensaries in other states before, but this was my first experience in Illinois. I found the people, service and process here to be top notch. When I explained what I was looking for the budtender (I believe it was Chris) helped me sort through all of the options. He even made several suggestions that I hadn't appreciated during my research. Really great experience.

This place is everything you want in a dispensary.

Amazing! When you first enter a security guard is there to greet you and lets you in . There the lobby offers a huge screen TV, refreshments and munchies . The atmosphere is ZEN , yes they want you to lay back relax and feel comfortable. Once you get to the BUD BAR as I call it , any Budista back there can consult you . I like they ask what you like and what you want the effect to be and then they cater to that. Their recommendations are always on point. I love their service and environment. The spirit is always warm and inviting . That to me makes up for a tight squeeze in the lot or maybe waking 10 feet from the curbside parking .

They used to be awesome! GreenGate was the only Medical-Only dispensary on the north side of Chicago. I would go there all the time because the staff were amazing and the deals weren't bad. That changed when they got bought out by Verano in April 2021. If you're not aware, Verano is one of the "big guys" in the corporate cannabis business. Now they charge an extra tax for medical patients, with no forewarning. I always bring exact change, so when I found out my usual order was 3 dollars more, I had to use the ATM to withdraw more cash. Not really a big deal, but paying an extra ATM fee on top of that just felt a little annoying. It's a shame because they have one of the best budtenders in the city (shout-out to Dustin) and the rest of the staff was always really personable. I'll miss them! I have since switched to a different dispensary, and I don't regret it at all. It seems everything at GreenGate is just going more and more downhill as time goes on.

This dispensary was really great until April 2021 when it was bought pot by one of the BIG GUYS. Now there just another Pot Shop. Now we're just another customer. Too bad. I'm leaving for another shop

Warm welcoming office and staff. Large waiting room for family and friends. The "bank teller window" type service counter in dispensary room is a little weird somehow.

I truly am grateful for the knowledge Greengate has shared with me to help with my cancer issues. Lack of sleep is one, and the crew at GG has help me with it. I’m now sleeping and getting the restorative rest I need! Thank you GREENGATE!!

Great feeling walking in by some welcoming folks and the space is very welcoming. It's great to find people that can make solid recommendations on their stock and know what it is they are recommending. They seem to work hard at having a great menu available and ordering what you want. I am very glad to have made this my dispensary.
