Full review below, but for anybody with severe pain wondering about which strain to get, or to even whether to get a medical card at all, for pain relief via medical marijuana, it's my goal in this diatribe to sing amazing praises this single strain has done for my physical, and consequently, mental health in the 2 years since I've started using it.
I made an account here just to comment on this strain. Of the 11 reviews that were already up, only one of them really mentioned its pain relief, and though it was a positive review, it didn't come close to matching just how blown away I was by this strain. It used to be at the Terrapin recreation store, and that's where I first encountered it, but my experience with it was so good from the very first 1/8th, that I followed its therapeutic relief to the doctor and medical dispencary.
Now, you're probably wondering, just what kind of pain is this person talking about? Well, like most of us, mine is a shitty, complex smorgasbord of a bunch of lame stuff, but just to paint a brief picture, I have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, Peripheral Neuropathy, Radiculopathy, Migraines, Sleep Apnea, etc etc ad nauseam. My problem with medical marijuana is that if it is an exciting strain, especially with high amounts of THC, it can easily overstimulate my nerves and lead to a very uncomfortable few hours where I just end up sleeping off the effects. This strain keeps my head clear, but is able to melt away my head, back, and arm pain, while also drastically helping the nerve pain in my legs and feet. I'm able to function, in multiple meanings of the word, thanks to this strain.
I definitely recommend it to anyone else who is at their wits end searching for something, anything, to let them have an evening of relative relaxation or that enables them to overcome their pain and even complete the most basic of self-care that would otherwise be an extreme challenge.
This is my first (nearly) pure CBD strain. Rich, slightly sweet smell and taste. It truly gave me a deep body high—warm, relaxed, tingling—with zero head high. An incredible option for those seeking to capitalize on the medical benefits of cannabis while keeping a crystal clear mind.
I was so skeptical of cannabis helping with pain at all after trying so many different strains that didn’t work. I have chronic pain in my neck, shins, and knees at the age of 34 but have a physical job(chef), and love being active. Arthritis in my neck, herniated disk, and dehydrated disks. So tired of pain meds so we made the trip to Denver and tried The Wife and so happy I did. I’m not a fan of being medicated all day so this statin is perfect. No head high at all but immediately takes my pain from an 8 to about a 2. The more I use it throughout the day the more the pain goes away. No more pain meds and love using this on hikes and before work to keep pain at bay. It’s truly amazing. You first feel a nice tingly feeling, then your body feels light, and finally the pain starts to melt away. Then at night mixing this in with a nice strong indica helps you fall asleep so easily and stay asleep. Anyone dealing with pain should try this!

For starters, everything said about this strain is spot on. People utilizing cannabis as medicine, from pain relief to stress reduction it's a splendid strain.
That said. Why is it called wife? Well as a grower it's a bitch. Very demanding compared to other recreation type genetics. Requires a different nutrient mix as well as light type and cycle.
Obviously a strain with a 20/1 CBD/THC it will need special attention, coddling, and nurturing, compared to everything else your growing. But so much better and more tasty that charletts webb, so very worth while and your clients will love it.

I mix this in about every vape bowl I pack. It seems oilier or more moist than other flower and the effect is it gives off amazing vapor clouds and all one would expect from a CBD " back." While other cbd strains tend to smell and taste like shit, The Wife smells Amazing. Def try if CBD is your thang!
I recently tried the wife and really enjoyed this strain. The taste was outstanding wonderful sweet cherry taste. The high is a great body high felt really relaxed and very at ease. I lean more towards the high CBD strains I found these strains to be very good for easing my arthritis pain. I would recommend The Wife for any one who is looking for a great body high but still needs to stay focused and functional.

Mellow buzz allows one to pursue pending agendas. Great pain med with CBD lvls off the chart. Yummy tangy, cherry flavors and pungent, sweet aromatic profile.
Shoulder pain diminished
Mind set free
Cramps relieved
Mellow THC effects
Amazing. Like another person wrote, this strain is excellent for pain. High THC gets my nerves in an uproar, making my pain worse. I suffer from degenerative disc disease, with bulging discs, running from neck to lower back. I also have severe scar tissue from a radical bi lateral mastectomy which causes severe pain, and high THC also disturbs the nerves in that. The Wife is an excellent choice for pain problems, its relaxing but not to much. My head is clear, not a head high, which I hate. I'm 50+yo old and like that old school high we use to get as kids with that dirty, seedy stuff. The stuff of today is so strong, my body and brain is not equipped for it....lol. I'm sure some can relate. Plus the price is very reasonable too.
