The taste was awful, and so was the smell I'm sorry but this one is a no no
Solid strain just made my heart race
This one makes me very relaxed and allows me to focus. For some reason this makes me very very sleepy also. I haven´t while sleeped this much. Sleepiness occur only if theres much time between the hits. Also helped against binge eating.
Strange that type-2 diabetes isn't listed here. Power Plant is on my list of strains that contain a significant amount of THCv.
Human trials have fairly conclusively proven that THCv is useful for controlling fasting blood glucose levels in type-2 diabetes in patients taking metformin. CBG (2% in Tangie and 1% in Trainwreck and exists in other strains) appears to have effects on increasing insulin sensitivity. I'm no doctor. But even mine admits that if true, it could mean a cure.
So I've been taking both in increasing amounts. A rather curious phenomenon has occurred. I vape quite a lot, true. But there are times when I start vaping that I can't stop. It's almost as if I'm gasping for air. Or my body has mistakenly convinced my mind that heroin is key to my survival.
I vape and vape and vape and vape...and never seem satisfied. There are over 120 cannabinoids in pot. Many are in trace amounts. I started wondering if my ECS had identified one of them as being CRUCIAL to my health? But I could never get enough to slake that thirst. How would I ever manage to find what I need, in all that mush of chemicals and compounds?
Then I took my first hit of Trainwreck. Only 1% CBG, but I was curious. I run my Pax vaporizers through a water pipe. The hits are impressive. I took one hit. Seriously. Suddenly I'm looking up from playing the guitar and it's a couple hours later. I didn't pass out or anything. I'd just satisfied my need to vape and went on to other things.
Hadn't touched my vape in all that time. I looked in the bottom. Confirmed. The weed was still green and fresh...mostly.
It was weird. I replicated the experience several times. Sometimes with a full spectrum tincture that contains CBG. Sometimes with Tangie iced tea. And sometimes with Trainwreck. Same effect every time. It's happening as I type, as a matter of fact.
I have type-2. CBG is thought to be effective in repairing insulin sensitivity in diabetics. Now I've ridden my bike across Europe 3 times. Around England , down to Greece. Winter in Crete. Something I referred to as "velo sauvage". "Camping sauvage" means camping in nature, carrying with you everything you need to survive, It definitely does not mean campgrounds. So velo-sauvage means more or less the same thing. As a long distance biker, hauling a significant amount of weight on my mountain bike, 150km/day I can claim to having developed a penchant for "listening to my body". Trust me. In such a situation you don't want to ignore the messages you're receiving.
Decades of biking and I think I've become a good listener. Either way, it seems a very interesting phenomenon, and I'm a gonna ride the CBG train to see where it takes me. I mean I'm still milling all my grains and doing all the other thing diabetics are meant to do.
But I feel this CBG train is heading in the right direction.
We'll see where it takes me.
