- [x] Magellan Strain Grower - Oregon cannabis authority. It’s a hybrid of OCA’s Cloud Nine and Gorilla Glue or GG4. Simply put the GG4 or Gorilla glue influence is definitely there for the later part of the experience passing the standard of leaving one glued into current situation. Into more of a Carmel coated creative thoughtfulness. The Cloud Nine strain is a type of geno type from a Brazilian strain that was very popular in the 1970’s it’s known is to be very strong. It’s actually described as having a profiled terroir. Which is a fancy French way of saying you taste beautiful like the earth you came from. Magellan was a Portuguese explorer. He also was an explorer for Spain. So it’s kinda like a quarterback who got more money from another Country so he cut the deal and in doing so he actually circumnavigated around the world. Your Mind will circumnavigate around the world with this strain as well. It does have a energetic early buzz. It’s not what I’d call a quad shot cold nitro with 4 raw sugar packets. But the early mental energy buzz is both positive and creates a very nice path for a mentally creative Ride that you will experience for the next one hour then it settles into what is call a day hike at Yosemite kinda feeling. You’ll wanna be outside in the sun. Playing fetch with the doggo or just stretched out air-budding the Phish Spotify playlist. Have a fun trip you Explorer of new straits and paths. I used a tight grind for the preparation. The grind was TIGHT. I’d call it a espresso style grind. So, for myself a mod once a day smoker I only needed two inhaled doses. No appetite Enhancement but I’m drinking a blueberry veg- protein shake. - [ ]

This strain is aptly named for the late explorer, Ferdinand Magellan... explore your mind with this one! With smooth smoke, great flavor, and a heady high to boot, this bud is definitely one of my all time favorites!

Very buzzy high that starts at the head and later to a full body melt. Very energetic and upbeat at first..a bit too extreme in high amounts. It made me a bit jittery and anxious. Take this one slow and you’ll enjoy it more. Not in my top 10, but worth checking out!

Preface: I made edibles with Magellan shatter. I decarbed in my oven for 27 minutes at 250°F then mixed that into melted coconut oil and made weed honey that I poured into my coffee in the morning. Here’s the noticeable effects I experienced. Note *this was my first time decarbing shatter so I may or may not have decarbed properly or my tolerance is too high.* The effects are very subtle. About 30 minutes in, I feel a shift in perspective. It first feels like a very light tingle on the back of your neck that washes over your body and your pain vanishes. This is the extent of the body high right now. I don’t feel heavy, I feel normal but with pain gone and an alleviated mood. I feel as though I can discuss things on a higher level and enjoy it than I could sober. Again, let me say, my dosage could be off but I like the subtlety of this strain. It allows you to be functional and feel good without you being too fucked up. You just feel normal but no pain and a little more interested in things but not overly fucked up your mind feels “sober”. It’s pleasant and probably not for a seasoned stoner but a beginner or someone who does not smoke often.
