After years of smoking bud, this was my first pure sativa. I didn't truly appreciate what people meant by "soaring high" until I smoked some of this herb. I took one very modest hit, and I didn't taste much; it was very smooth. After 2 minutes I could feel my mind start to kick in. It was straight to the head, and I wasn't sure If I was gonna sit back down or go for a walk at first. But I resisted the urge to be parnoid and sort of sat back and just went with the cerebral flow which felt like I was taking off, but it wasn't scary just never experienced such a high that was so purely mental. It's like a plane taking off, at first you feel the rush of the acceleration but once at altitude, you feel a certain calm about it. I see great potential in this type of high, but I need to adjust to it a bit. Normally you feel a sort of body high with a bit of mental mixed into it....Lambs Bread goes straight to the dome in a hurry which makes it feel very powerful. This aint no sitting weed.
Apparently this is a "landrace" strain, bred in Jamaica. Its effects are relaxing, euphoric, and downright intense without being the least bit scary. Tastes like pungent incense. Top gear.
This is my personal favorite. Not only does it cure depression within a couple of minutes, but it also helps me to meditate and realize that life is good. One hit of this, once a week, is all I need. This is also one of the few strains that doesn't cause paranoia for me so I can enjoy alone or with friends. I wish more people knew about the magic of Lamb's Bread.
My favorite strain. I think the reference to the buds looking "lamb's wool" in the description here on Leafly is funny. I personally believe it's called "Lamb's Bread" because it came from Rastas in Jamaica who often refer to themselves as lambs of God. So this is the every day sacrament from God for his lambs.

Such a wonderful sativa that brings about self-reflection, soul searching, and simply a good vibe for whatever your plans will be for the day. Creativity and focus dominate while providing a blissful view what’s in front of you—energy is present with slight euphoria. The inhale is smooth with a skunk and buttery feel while its exhale is pungent and earthy but has a spicy/hash taste that is fairly sweet. Lamb’s Bread is great for depression, fatigue, and sparking creativity. This is an all-around strain with cerebral effects.

My first couple of tries of Lambs Bread left me scratching my head. Bob Marley used this as his 'muse'? Really? I don't know... maybe I was 'doing it wrong'... Got that lovely first wave -- settled in to it and waited for it to kick into... something other than a really nice wave.
Did I mention I wanted to use it for work? To inspire me and get me focused to spew great heaps of drivel? All I felt like was staring at the wall. Not a bad thing (who needs more of my drivel?) but not what I had in mind...
A blisser, I thought. Not the Blue Dream or White Widow or Dutch Treat replacement I thought it would be. No biggie. Lots of other 'flavors' to try.
Then I caught Lambs Bread on Leafly's 'Gotta Try Before Ya Die 100' - and decided to give it one more shot. I think it's important to be open-minded -- especially where cannabis is concerned...
Soooo glad I did. Okay. NOW I get it. This time when that lovely curl came over the top of my head, I got taken up in its uplifting swell and gently pushed forward into a lovely, on-going creative groove. Same thing the next time. And the next.
And right now, in fact. The effects are uplifting, heady - but focused - with just enough energy underneath it all to make ya want to chase it all day.
It's that productive a strain...
I may yet revisit that four-star rating. I still think GG4, Dutch Treat, Blue Dream & White Widow outrank everything where work strains are concerned (for me) but...
Did I mention how I like to keep an open mind?
This review is for the cannabis strain, “Lambsbread x Sour Diesel” grown by Organic Cannabis Growers Society in Eugene, Oregon.
Funny that Leafly doesn’t have this strain listed. All that shows is Lambsbread.
I picked this as one of my 10 samples of entries at Eugene’s first Ganjacon event.
Cannabis is not a social thing for us. After 45+ years of involvement with this healing plant and 5 years of guerrilla growing at the turn of the century in the Midwest, we limit ourselves to Sunday afternoons as the only day we indulge. As a result, our tolerance level is always fresh and our lungs aren’t worn out. We use it as a tool for deepening our spiritual quest with unique healing music from India that takes us very, very high.
Two hours at GanjaCon was plenty. I had 9 samples, and was uninterested in the smoking tent (was there one?)
Organic Cannabis Growers Society booth was the last one I was lucky enough to happen upon tucked back in a corner.
I had one tab left on my wristband and saw the varieties they had. “Lambsbread x Sour Diesel” jumped into my awareness and I grabbed it. (I was saddened that I only had one tab seeing their strains)
Like a kid with his bag of candy, I headed homewards to investigate the heritage of each strain I picked.
Except for maybe two, all were Sativa or Sativa dominant hybrids. Not much for the couch-lock of Indicas.
The next decision was what strain were we going to taste on our Sunday. “Lambsbread x Sour Diesel” continued to show up on the mind’s screen, so that was what we burned. Unlike our earlier days, we have become light users comparatively, usually starting with two puff’s only. They are small, maybe 1/32 tsp one hitters. After my second hit, I considered a third but thought to see how the two puffs stacked up. I am really happy I didn’t take that third. This “Lambsbread x Sour Diesel” is powerful and not for the faint of heart. The effects started within a few minutes but after maybe 10-15 minutes really kicked in. Very cerebral, not just physically but mentally clear and strong. One needs an anchor to keep from getting swept up in the mental whirlwind. That is our music.
This“Lambsbread x Sour Diesel” reminded me of a trip to Jamaica in 1999 when we got some Lambsbreath weed there. It was so powerful to the extent of paranoia possibly becoming an issue.
As the day progressed we felt very clear headed, energetic and productive. It did not produce the stupidness that getting stoned can easily do. We liked Organic Cannabis Growers Society’s “Lambsbread x Sour Diesel” so very, very much. To the extent of thinking that next week we have to try something else?
The THC analysis showed 17%. Do not be fooled by what seems like a lower THC.
The terpenes that these two strains together have created will throw you into a soaring high.
Since living in Eugene, I was always looking for a strain that would surpass the AK-47 I grew.
This does it…far and away the most powerful, fun strain I’ve had.
We voted it our favorite in GanjaCon.
