All I need to say is WOW, Outstanding, the best marijuana known to mankind. After smoking 10 bong hits I went into a dark room and visions one after another came to me with music, voices, amazing sounds. Creative ideas I had never thought before rushed into my mind. The high lasted 35 minutes, and it was the most creative experience of my life. This is a revolutionary strain that will change the world. This is what the Beatles had to be on when they wrote the Sgt. Pepper and Abbey Road albums. This is what J.K. Rowling must had been smoking when she wrote the Harry Potter literary series. This is what Jimmy Hendrix; Bob Marley must have been smoking. I have a feeling Steve Jobs smoked this on the weekends when he came up with the best ideas that came out of Apple Computers. There is nothing I know off including LSD and Mushrooms that give you a more creative consciences experience. This stuff opens a window into a wonderful realm that allows amazing creative ideas to rush in. Get rid of the rest this is the Best, second to no other strain for creativity. This strain will change the world for the better. Please grow as much of this strain as you can the world needs it.
Dr. Grinspoon from Barney's Coffeeshop (Amsterdam), also known as Quaze Haze from Grey Area (Amsterdam) is by far the strongest sativa out there, hands down. Its a strain that looks like no other, growns like a weeping willow, clocks in at over 25% THC, almost no CBD, and smells like extreme citrus bathroom cleaner. I'm a migraine and IBS sufferer, but would NOT recommend Grinspoon for migraines - this strain is 100% motivation power, like caffeine with the shakes or stomach problems. The trip is intense and long. I once smoked a serious joint of this stuff before boarding my flight at Schipol and had inner eye trails while up in the sky - super psychadelic stuff. NOT advised (AT ALL) for people with anxiety problems, but likely great for people with glaucoma and blood vessel restrictions as it makes your heart pump like a healthy oil rig. Expensive, hard to grow (18 - 22 weeks flower) but mighty worthy of the strongest sativa claim.

A little background, I was anti-cannabis for quite some time, though I smoked it when I was in my late teens a bit, I was programmed by the media and government that it was bad and evil. A few years ago my eldest son and I were listening to a talk radio show and the topic surrounded the legalization of cannabis in certain states. Though my son had questions about it I really didn't know what to tell him. So after that I started doing my own research. As most if not all of you realize, though anything can be used for "bad", I found that natural cannabis, not the synthetic garbage, is very good for us, that our bodies possess receptors created just for cannabinoids. The healing potential is incredible.
It was Dr. Grinspoons own testimony that began opening my eyes. A scientist himself and a friend of the brilliant Carl Sagan, he would debate with Carl Sagan at how bad cannabis was for him and was always trying to persuade Carl from smoking it. The fact that Dr. Grinspoon did the research and found the incredible benefits that persuaded him to change course on the subject helped me do the same. When I found out that a strain was dedicated to the Dr., I began researching this particular heirloom strain, and found that it was an incredible delight. I have been on a mission since then, a few years now, to find this strain. I was even willing to go out of state to get it since I could never find it in my own MMJ state. Fortunately a dispensary fairly local to me advertised that they had some in stock and I was on the phone immediately!
I have to say, not only was I impressed with this strain, I was amazed by it. I'm not sure if it is just the strain that was so great or if how it was grown added to the incredible look, smell and effect of this flower but I have to say it was the best I have ever had! I'm had AK-47, Jack Herer, some of the diesel variants, and they were all great! But this was over the top for me!
The look was beautiful, with the small budletts and the glistening trichromes reflecting beautiful colors. The smell made my head spin! The incredibly strong citrus smell with the balanced earthy skunk aroma had me imagining myself laying down in a field surrounded by it. I found myself sniffing it for about a minute before putting it down. The taste, for me, was so enjoyable. I say that because I usually don't "taste" the cannabis much since I smoke cigars frequently and my taste buds are bent, but I could savor this smoke and I enjoyed all of it. The affect, well, I had heard it was euphoric and heady. In fact some things I read warned to be careful due to the strength of this strain and to watch out for paranoia. Maybe I didn't smoke enough of it to get to that point but I have to say, the euphoric and intellectual effect of Dr. Grinspoon was incredible and I had no real "paranoia". I did get a bit thrown off balance at times due to the strength, similar to some other strong strains I have tried. The euphoric affects lasted a good two hours or so and though I was foggy coming down, I finished clear headed for the most part. This will be my goto buddy for day time use, if I can continue to find it!
Sometimes you have to appreciate that mildness, that mellowness. Appreciate how deeply relaxed I feel whilst my body still feels like it's full of energy, raring to go. Super active mind. Makes me feel like I'm on another level to others, a little like I have superpowers - being able to hear subtleties that other people can't. Can see shapes in things. Widening minds and imaginations. My body loves the beats of fast music.
Dr Grinspoon is named in honor of a hero, the brilliant cannabis advocate, researcher and author Dr. Lester Grinspoon. It's genetics is a pure heirloom Sativa. The plant grows thin and tall, and needs a longer flowering time around 95-100 days. When mature, the colas look like compact, green and red-brown beads, loosely strung on thin stems with a dusting of THC crystals. The fragrance off the buds is of sumac and lemon and the smoke is light and tangy with citrus and tropical fruit aromas. Dr Grinspoon can stretch very tall indoors. You can harvest these cannabis seeds outdoors in Mid November. Dr. Grinspoon has a very high THC of 25% so it offers a strong, long-lasting, energetic and cerebral high. Old school Sativa of the highest order.
Tried it at Katsu coffeeshop in Amsterdam in joint form.
Very strange looking weed, the buds are made of several little clusters loosely bound together but completely covered by crystals.
The smoke was mild and went down very smooth, not much expansive in the lungs, hardly it will make to cough.
The best part which really stands out in my opinion is the high, a creeper and all in the head, very alert but not too speedy or paranoia inducing, leaves very functional so focusing is not a problem, and last but not least it put me in a so positive mood that is hard to forget.
The average duration was about 2-3 hours, after that I haven't had hangover signs, wonderful.
This is in my opinion one of the best strains to start the day along with a good breakfast, but I think it would be also good in the others parts of the day including in the evening, with good friends or at a party.
Definitively as a sativa lover this quickly became my favorite strain so, thank you Doctor!

Quickly and unknowingly turns into a strong sativa high, mind racing with thoughts. Feel very inspired and creative, ready to conquer the world. Not tired at all during the start of the high, feel very 'awake'!
Honest to god, the greatest weed strain I’ve ever consumed. As the server at Barney’s told me, “this ain’t even weed this is like some weed coke shit”. No body high, instant euphoria and focus. Smoked it before my art history final and it was great. My sociology paper practical wrote itself on it. Great for people with add or adhd.
