Picked this up on 1017, as it was the only Sativa they had in stock, but was surprised with the great energetic vibe that doesn't overwhelm. Awesome fruity after taste from vaping. Would recommend.
New to medicinal cannabis, I've been trying to find a strain to help me titrate down from the large amount of meds that I have to take in order to fall asleep each night.
Last night I started my evening with vaping strains (CBD) that would help me mellow out. I ended my evening with vaping Tweed's Donegal. It was recommended to me by a Tweed Customer Care Rep because of its long lasting effects.
Donegal is smelly!! After grinding it up, I cleaned everything off bc I didn't want the place having that strong "weed" smell. Vaping it produced what I would compare to an earthy taste and smelling like walking through a thick evergreen forest. That's the best way I can describe my take on Donegal. Vaping it allowed me to become
completely relaxed and later actually drifted off to sleep without taking the large amount of meds, which I regularly take at night. This was the first time in 3 years I felt relaxed enough to fall asleep without pharm meds!! Definitely not the "be all" strain for sleep, but it definitely aided in a wonderful night of natural sleep :)
Got this one in Castlegar, BC. 20% THC and stinks like lemon verbena. Was branded as a "get shit done" strain. I can see that--it does deliver more of a "can't sit still" mode, which can be good or bad depending on where you start out.
It can definitely induce an unfocused mindset--and a bit of anxiety due to not knowing how or where to focus the thoughts.
If you want to get used to the more challenging aspects of mindfulness this could be a tool; but if you don't control the energy, the intensive thinking could do you in. Systematically good for making or listening to music--try this if that's your gig!! By the same token, it can do wonders for verbal communication and even introverts may become surprisingly chatty. But this one's a doozie! Slow and low is the key even if you're experienced--just two hits can be intense.
Not a fan of this... it's bland with very little effects. Apparently this is a strain that you either love or hate. If you are looking to get a heavy buzz, you won't find it here.
very helpful with anger issues as well as depression. not very good for sleep though. the smell and taste are much better after you bust it up.
Amazing terpenes that defy you to pick what they are. Fuelie and a little alien. The effect is hard hitting head punch that fades to general relaxation and minimal burnout.
Very energetic, but relaxing at the same time.
Donegal has very small light green buds that look like they could come from the shores of Ireland. This is definitely a Sativa leaning hybrid and would I only use in the daytime. I got a good hit of an uplifting euphoria that lasted a good while and started getting very chatty in short order. I believe this would be great for party. After a couple of hours I became very relaxed in both mind and body. The smell is pungent and yet evokes a sweet floral spice aroma which I quite like. The earthy and diesel flavor is smooth on the intake. This is a nice strain that's worth a try.
