Im sorry guys, like old school hashplant and original blueberry, the genetics for this strain died out almost two decades ago. Im from BC, born and raised, the son of a grower, been in the business myself for decades, not really a pro, though I did it for a living more than once, but certainly not like some of these guys. That being said, I was there, I remember, its not second hand for me. Some context, other than south western BC everyone in Canada smoked hash, or if they were really unlucky mexican dirt weed, pray it didnt have peroquat on it (before my day). Out east the drugs were run by the actual mob, yes we had it in Canada too, the most prominent being the Montreal mafia, part of the regular mob, again im no expert on that I just know gold seal black hash was brought into the rest of Canada by the ton in the 70's and 80's. There was no gold coin, contrary to popular myth, some bricks were labeled shit like the shahs reserve and that might have had gold leaf on it..hard to remember. Im fairly sure the good stuff had ipium in it because Ive never been as fucked up falling over dundee from weed product than I have with this shit. But heres where it gets historical, after the Seattle KingDome was built, it was the first indoor football stadium and they needed lights that would mimic the sun so the old TV cameras would work properly. Combine that with comparatively lax drug laws a few minutes north across the border, a mild climate, cheap hydro, an established horticulter and indoor/greenhouse farming tech center, northern deepwater ports close to the largest drug market on the planet, draft dodgers and the hippy movement and along with that the green movement (greenpeace was formed in BC) and many strong ties to the Netherlands, made it the perfect recipe for a burgeoning marijuana industry. Which, coincidentally are some* of the reasons UBC was used and not more established eastern Universities to grow this experimental strain. So, long story not very short, we didnt need to import hash, we had, even by the eighties, stopped all importation of all significant amounts of marijuana the strains were so good, so varied, that by the early 90's when i started smoking, and before the massive commercial ops ruined the scene here for so long, i smoked bar none, even compared to todays so called super weed at mid 20's to 30% was not as potent, or as flavorful. Hashplant was called that because it literally tasted like hash, not because it was a strain used for making hash. original blueberry stank, i had a single plant in a 40 light room of Jamaican sugar and all i could smell is fricken blueberry...anyways I digress, i have not tasted OG chemo in 20 years, or anything like it, as far as i can tell its gone, same as hashplant.
Now aside from having one amazing PK dab before buying a G of this stuff I have had no experience with dabs before so take my review with a grain of salt for those of you who have clearly been around the block. I am a heavy user of normal bud and thought this couldn't be much different but this stuff really knocks you on ass. I had already had chemo before and knew it was a heavy indica so I knew it was going to be strong but after just a few dabs I was completely debilitated. My gram lasted me 3-4 days and I don't remember any of it. Tasted just like good chemo should and I like not having to smoke so much to get to that level but you really gotta watch yourself, it'l get ya.
One of the heaviest, if not THE heaviest, indica I have ever tried. Oh it's heavy! Nice dark dense bud that filled up the lovely grinder, with instant pungent tones of kush. This may be the best damn medicine for pain, insomnia, and general lack of appetite. Puff, vape, eat away and enjoy life, food, and sleep. Your body will be heavily sedated, you WILL want to sleep, or have a nice meal before dozing off. Take my word, I've tried a lot of strains and this one somehow sticks with me. If I am ever in any sort of great pain, I'll remember Chemo and wish I had some for the moment.

CannaCentral: "Chemo was supposedly developed by the Canadian government in the 70′s for cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy treatments. The medicinal value is amazing and the strain is quite potent with a hashy taste. Recognized amongst the medical community as the best strain available for chronic pain and nausea". All I know is daammnn! This stuff is hardcore! My caregiver got this strain down to the T, one of even his top 3 strains! (which is saying something if you knew the guy lol)! Its got a deep hashy/almost pnemonia smell at first. The taste is all its own tho, with a almost citrus bite at the end of the exhale which u can taste very well if using a vape like me. The medicinal effects are very powerful and this stuff will most def get you stoned from the first rip. It took awhile before my tolerance starting building up to withstand more than just one bowl of it! My severe headaches and muscle spasms subsided IMMENSELY! Pretty much no pain, which is amazing for my conditions. The only downside for me is that it gave me the munchies real bad, as it was desined that way for cancer patients undergoing chemo radiation. Sleep is sound and peaceful with just a few quick rips right before bed time, and if you really rip a bowl then u might just comatose! GET THIS IF U CAN!
Very reflective, spiritual, euphoric, and transcendent.
I got dry throat and arousal, an odd combination indeed.
Very relaxing and great for sleep.
It feel that the high is a bit like a creeper type of high.
Would recommend.
This is one of those legendary type strains.
Saw someone else review it saying that it “shows you no mercy”
That is both correct and beautiful.
Get this strain if you’re in any kind of pain.
If you can get your hands on this strain, you will experience one of the best overall highs available. Absolutely incredible pain killing abilities with a nice euphoric head buzz.
