Blue Magoo is actually a cross between Blueberry, Major League Bud, and Afgoo..The original magoo grower used to by my Ommp grower. The original strain comes from Portland, Oregon.
Smoked a bowl in the shower while groovin out to some funky jams. Very unique smell and taste, fruity and delicious! Over all an amazing high. I was stimulated, giggly, and happy beyond belief. Helped loads for muscular and bone pain relief in my legs, all aching gone and a great time to boot! I was easily active but no anxiety at all. A comfortable, pain and anxiety free time.
Migraine pain 4-5; nausea 6-7 when I medicated round 2200 or so? Takes bout 5 min to start working. Pain/nausea gone. No anxiety/paranoia (a must for me). Head high energetic; definitely a daytime med. Body high very nice; just what I needed. Got a kick outta the tight buds & red hairs; high quality for sure. Almost couldn't go to sleep but did manage to pass out round midnight or so. Highly recommend for daytime use for pain/nausea! :-)
I've suffered from true migraines since I was a child (for over 40 years) and I've recently come to MMJ for relief because I can't stand the prescriptions and I can't have caffeine (which works great for migraines but I'm allergic to). I researched and researched and decided to make Blue Magoo my first try.
When I was younger I smoked a lot for recreation, but I'm way past that, so I'm truly looking for pain relief. My philosophy is that this is medicine and so I need to find the smallest possible dose that helps me feel better.
I started (as a guess) with two hits off my vaporizer, and that was a good guess. My migraine subsides in minutes and I don't really get "high". I do get some very nice body relaxation (including relaxing my shoulders and neck, which are always tight and sore). I also notice that my mind is more "clear" at that dosage. I'm ready to attack the day. So, from what I've read, more would probably make me tired (which would be fine). But the small amount I use for relief actually relaxes me, relieves the migraine and gives me good focus and energy for the day. Later I feel tired as it wears off, and that's fine.
Though this is the least important to me... it does have a nice taste, especially on the exhale, and it's very smooth.
Though I prefer CBD edibles as my daily maintenance for pain, Blue Magoo is definitely my "go-to" as my "rescue inhaler" for the onset of a migraine. It's worked every time, 3 times in a row. I have tried some other strains, and got good relief from the migraine, but also experienced effects I didn't want.
So... very nice. My favorite so far.
Blue Magoo looks and smells outstanding. The description on leafly is spot on, so I do not know what else to add other than to say Blue Magoo leans on the indica side of things. It is also worth noting that I did not get the munchies while medicating and it wasn't overly harsh, which is a welcome change from some of the harsh and heavy indicas I have been coming across lately. Overall 9.5/10. This strain also regularly tests at over 1% CBD's, so what we have here is a winner.

Date purchased: 5.4.16

Method of Consumption: Herb Iron and small bong
Smell: The Afghani background reigns true over the Blueberry to me. It is a complex and pungent combination that has that morning dew off of a fresh granite stone atop a grand mountain range untouched by man.
Look: Kif coated, light green dense nuggets with tight orange hairs. Fairly good trim.
Taste: The mountain top taste is worth the cost of the experience alone. There was almost a earthy pine tree taste upon the exhale. Very Afghani, almost more full flavor Afghan highlights here than on some strict (possibly) Afghan only strain I have sampled.
Recommendation for medicine: I could see this being a favorite of a lot of people. It has a lot of pain relieving properties. At night it could be used for a sleep aid easily. The Indica strength does reside heavily if one is tired to begin with. It was a smiley strain for me with some uplifting fun.
This strain has amazing bud structure and crystals. Very fluffy nugs and a good clean smoke ... Heavy on the head....
I am in love with Blue Magoo.
It's a beautiful looking flower.
It immediately lifts any depression, nausea and laziness from my body. You can see colors more vividly, and your mind starts working overtime.
This is my go to day smoke. It is definitely an upper for me.
