This is a visually stunning and unusual plant. It has almost purple leaves and attractive, extremely frosty flowers. It has a very distinctive, almost hypnotic, yet slightly sour smell. It is quite an impressive, if not large plant.
However, the flowers are also very leafy, meaning the buds end up loose and overall not very potent; this leafy quality also affects flavor, making the taste a little paper-y, and it also means despite all the pretty crystals and wonderful, almost homeopathic smell, it is definitely a day-time variety.
Which leads around to the question: why did they give it such a silly name? This plant has as little to do with a powerful psychedelic as it possibly can. It's just a nice and mellow, old school hybrid, something you can use socially without fear of scaring anyone.
Its bark is a lot worse than its bite.
I think I found a new fave.
I should preface this review by admitting, I'm a bit of a lightweight and am overly sensitive to the anxiety of THC.
Having said that, I have enjoyed strains that test in the high 20s and even low 30s. I've also had strains in the low 20s send me terrified and isolated, wondering why on earth anyone would purposely make themselves feel this way. Bottom line, I don't think it's the THC alone that causes my psychosis, rather other attributes of certain strains.
So for those like me, I highly recommend you try this strain.
I grabbed an 8th from Nature's Med in N Phoenix. Is never heard of it. But they had a great deal. Probably because THC is stated at 10%.
The flower is pretty. Lots of green and purple, as well as visible trichomes. The taste is smooth and earthy. But what I'm mostly impressed by is the effect. Super relaxed. Very nice body high, reminiscent of valium from back in the day. To me, this is what weed should feel like. Clear headed enough to carry on a conversation. Yet 'high' enough to quiet the worries that tend to dominate my thoughts.
The strain is relaxing enough to go to sleep if you want. You can also stay awake and enjoy a movie or good book, if you so choose.
For me, this is marijuana bliss. I hope you enjoy.
Exotic plant, good resina, original herbal mix aroma and taste. Also easy to grow.
Very good for good night sleep or taking a knap.
Pretty much a pure indica. Not much cerebral effect but provides an impressive body stone / couch lock if smoked enough. Peak doesn’t last long but leaves you super relaxed and very sleepy. Definitely Not a day time strain, this will have you ready for a bed after a bowl or two. Perfect for insomniacs. If you’re looking for a balanced hybrid or functional indica strain, this isn’t it.
Not a strain that’s caked in thc does have a nice amount of orange on it though. One big plus about this strain is it’s very unique smell and really smooth smoke. Woody, earthy with hints of wine and some sort of fruit I can’t figure out. Give it a shot!
Ayahuasca Purple is about as "Top Shelf" as you can get and very rare at the same time! My favorite Bud Tender, Mitchell, brought this incredible strain to my attention when it first came into the Vancouver shop. It really has it all; Beautiful spongy nugs with the deep purple intertwining with both light and dark greens, provide an outstanding tri-color collage. The smell is to die for! A heavenly blend of sweet papaya and lavender. The taste oozes quality and refinement. It's an earthy lavender with berry and a hint of nuttiness. It is incredibly smooth smoke considering the strength of this strain. Initially there's a cerebral onset that fills your mind with euphoria. You are relaxed, uplifted and happy and it lasts a long time. After about an hour, a slow warm tingling sensation works its way through your body, You become deeply relaxed, content and just plain chill. No couch lock, but you will have no problem sleeping at the end of the night. I consider this strain to be the champagne of the Indicas. Worth every penny you spend on it!
I vaped this one on a sunny day, sitting on a bench in a park.It took some time, then it punched me really hard.My mind was separated from my body, good for pain relief,I guess. After 30 minutes I decided to take a walk.It was like floating thru the air.It didn’t make me tired or hungry. It’s a great strain, but not for beginners...
super relaxing! a little goes a long way.
Awesome strain. Heavy smoke with a great relaxing euphoric body buzz. This strain really knocks me out at the end of the night. Before I conk out though I get the urge to kid and joke around with my wife and be in a total carefree state of mind. Very relaxing and one of my favorite strains.
