This was the second strain I have ever tried, since I'm a new medical patient due to a back injury and nerve pain.
There was no high feeling at all from this strain, just a sense of calm and relaxation. It is a lot like Cannatonic yet it leaves me with less of the very sleepy feelings that Cannatonic gave me. It reduces inflammation very quickly, so it helps remove a source of my pain but it doesn't get rid of the pain completely. It allows me to be pain free while in a resting position where I would otherwise always be in pain. If I overstretch or bend a certain way, I will still notice some pain. It also helps with GI issues.
The smell of the bud is an intense blueberry/grape high note with a low early spring floral pine note. I'd recommend this to any medical patient, especially people who are new to cannabis, seeking anti-inflammatory properties and a nice calming effect.
I REALLY like this strain!! My boyfriend and I are new to this, and this was our 3rd strain. Perfect for beginners. I usually get anxious or paranoid, and not even a little bit with this, and for once I smoked more that my little chicken puffs trying to avoid the paranoia. My bf was SUPER extra cute and cuddly, it was adorable. He said it took his headache away last night. It's improved my pain and inflammation from fibromyalgia too. This stuff is just really good. Happy.
I don't really know what the flavor would be. It tastes like weed should taste. Didn't cough either! (with a bong) And bf got major dry mouth but I didn't even a little bit.
This is one of my favourite strains. I use it for ADHD and anxiety.
Afghani CBD is a great strain for pain control and Insomnia. It is a perfect example of an Indica stain. Minutes after consuming; your pain becomes a distant memory, and a nice relaxing and focused couch lock sets in. If you are using this strain for Insomnia I would recommend heading to bed as soon as you begin to feel the effects. I experienced a weird side effect that caused me to become fidgety and itchy if I waited to long to go to bed, I am sure that this completely depends on body chemistry, and is probably and isolated case. As a medicine for pain, Afghani CBD does as expected, pain quickly fades away with very little in the way of a cerebral high. The reason I rated 3/5 is simply because this is not top shelf bud. The nugs are very small 3 cm in most cases, with very little Trichome production ( to be expected from indica/CBD). Nugs are loose, and clearly machine trimmed. All in all Afghani CBD is a great medicine for pain and insomnia, it delivers the medicine and gives the desired effect with out fail. Those 2 other stars could be filled in if Tilray (Canadian LP) took a little bit more care in the product. Great medicine, subpar product.
Really relaxing bud. Great great grrreat. The CBD content is nice making Afghani weed high both strong and relaxing at the same time. Also side note- from my research, I believe this is a indica/ruderalis hybrid.
I was very excited about this strain and finally took the jump and got myself a nice little stash from my friends at Tilray.
Sweet freshness as soon as I opened the bag, smooth and earthy with grape undertone that made my mouth water. Very mild head high combined with a euphoric relaxing body. Even though the mental high was fairly low I did find myself very distracted and unfocused but it actually made it enjoyable to let my mind wonder every few minutes.
Would highly recommend this strain to people suffering from anxiety, muscle stiffness or if you'r in need of some stress relief. Perfect for evening sedation or a relaxing outdoorsy day with minimal burnout.
I am currently smoking on a batch of CBD afghani from my dispensary green rhino .. i think it's fire . I have DP/DR as well as anxiety and PTSD , i can not handle high THC strains any more . I immediately felt healing properties with my first pull off this batch . The smell is very clean , fresh , strong and has great cannabis pheromones coming off it . I feel my mind relax as well i am getting caught in thoughts from time to time as well . I feel calm , sleepy , comfy and i have some what of a dry mouth after a couple more tears off the glass piece . Clear mind with a fuzzy focus , tending 1 special task is great on this . I have no heavy eyes , just some warmth , light body , light but slightly heavy head depending how much is consumed - how tired you become . I feel a new fullness in my head , this might work for head aches ! great any time smoke but better at night or during a good amount of time you have free to relax . I would not have much sex on this but would love to have sensual oral . Overall great strain and plant!
One of my favourite strains. Makes you feel so relaxed and frees you of all physical pain and mental worries. Makes you body feel kind of like jello but without mental cloudiness. Love this strain, love CBD :)
