Vape juice uses MCT oil which is NOT supposed to vaped - the red oral solution had ZERO effect even after incrementally increasing dosage - mother in law who is also a patient reported same (and she has no tolerance at all.) Everything is expensive, which would be ok if the products were decent but its like throwing money into the wind with most of their products. And having to wait over an hour for my prescription that was ordered the day before... closing the dispensary during its (only) 3 days of operation and cancelling all orders with no follow up to help patients get their medicine... very unprofessional. The staff is nice and it's not their fault, but I'd be very interested to see the actual amounts of THC/CBD in these products (oral solution/pills particularly) as it is clearly not what they state on the bottle. Definitely looking elsewhere

Location not great and it is small but I made an appointment and had a lengthy conversation with the pharmacist. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Did a reorder via on-line and I was called on my pick up day as a reminder. Pick up was quick and again, staff was very attentive.

No. Sorry, I am sure the employees here are very nice people but the negatives prevail. Vape juice is 50% coconut oil which probably should not be vaped. The product is ridiculously expensive and tastes like ass. $130.00 for a month's supply of high viscosity motor oil from unknown strains. Sativa? Indica? Don't know. Neither did they. The place itself is kind of creepy, I'm sure it must be clean enough, but it's tiny and cramped. I won't be going back.

Horrible. Asked if mct was in vape juice... “pharmacist “ said no directly to the question while on his own security camera. It had small effect. Nothing in comparison to ANY other dispensary in our state.. plus they over charge by nearly Double. And don’t tell you the price until after the consultation... and you almost feel obligated to purchase. Not a good spot. Only if emergency go here . Plus they’re product knowledge is terrible.. ask them how their oil was originally extracted from the plant... crickets is all you will here. Sorry for the bad review. People invested their lives into this business. It’s just a shame they let it fall apart..

It was difficult to obtain medicine because this place is understaffed and open very limited hours. The vape oil is a diluted mix of 50% cannabis and 50% coconut oil.

Super hard to find. In a shady strip mall. Employees lack basic knowledge. Went to buy vape juice, after purchase asked if it was PG or VG.... and it’s COCONUT OIL!!! You can’t vape that! I was like, guys, you can’t vape this, they insisted I could. So I went to the local vape shop and told them what I just bought, they all laughed and said OMG don’t buy shit from that place. Well, I tried to vape it and OUCH!!! Burns!!!!!! And zero effect. What a huge waste of money. On a few drops of coconut “vape” juice.

The staff is great. Very helpful and always polite with any questions I may have. “EM” is awesome to deal with and always helpful. I have noticed a very positive change over the past few months with this dispensary and it continues to get even better with each visit. Both myself and my two dogs ( pet formula cbd) use products from vireo with excellent results. I highly recommend the pet cbd for any dog suffering from arthritis. Dramatic results in my 11 1/2 year old yellow lab. Very positive with my 8 year old husky and her anxiety. For myself the treatment has worked tremendously for very severe post back surgery pain. Sure beats taking 320 Dr prescribed oxy a month. I have used vape from another dispensary in the capital district and felt discomfort in my lungs following use. I haven’t had ANY problems with Vireo vape cartridges or refill solution. The oral solution I tried worked very well on a shoulder injury that cortisone shots could not suppress. I strongly recommend Vireo and its staff for your medical medicine. Thank you “EM” for all of your help in finding the correct solution for my medical needs.

Friendly staff, had a decently long consult with pharmacist. Prices on higher side but this isn’t supposed to be a cheap product. I do wish they knew if things were indica or Sativa based because I certainly would prefer one over the other. Otherwise it’s in a discrete location in a small strip mall of maybe 4 or 5 stores. No giant billboards in parking lot saying Pot Shop calling out to cops. Easy to find. If you know where to look.

Nice people, they have an ok collection, however I’d like to see more edibles, gummy’s and more high THC, products

Vireo seems to have changed over the past two years. My first time there recently and the older reviews I’ve read don’t seem to represent my experience. I was happy with the space, staff, service and script. They assured me they no longer use MTC in the vape products. Prices seem to have come down drastically compared to older reviews but could still come down a little more even with the discount.

The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about their products and how each product can help alleviate your ailment. The office is very clean and inviting. Most importantly, their product is excellent and their communication with their patients during the vaping issues arising has been very comforting.

Having just enrolled in the medical marijuana program here in NYS, and not being very familiar with cannabis as a whole (previous negative interactions with both it and people) I never thought I would find myself going down this route for treatment. (But again, I never expected to be diagnosed with a demyelinating disease.) As I said, I was brand new to the world of medical marijuana, and was not sure how I would react to the products, etc. Having done weeks of research online, I decided to come to Vireo for two main reasons: The first was the fact that they had formulas in both a 20:1 and 6:1 ratio- specifically, the 6:1 that was available as a vaporizer; the second was that their prices were significantly less than the other local dispensaries. The staff was kind, patient and understanding. I felt like they truly cared about the work they were doing as well as their patients' wellbeing. I spoke with someone today on the phone who was calling to check in to see how my first week-ish of treatment was going. The notes they seem to make regarding your treatment and what is working/not working is really helpful. It's one less thing to have to worry about. I also like that there happens to be a Vireo dispensary in my hometown which could come in handy should I forget or be out of my "meds" when traveling/visiting family. I give the Atmosphere 4 stars because the Albany location is in a very odd place, between a Freihofer's and a Smoker's Choice in a small strip mall with limited parking on Fuller Rd. I drove past it the first time because it didn't seem to fit in terms of the location. While I agree that Fuller Rd has great accessibility, this particular location may not be ideal. I'm quite satisfied with my first visit and follow-ups from the staff. Thanks Vireo!

Very nice place. Had questions about what is a good level of THC. Friendly customer service. Wanted an extra pre-roll and they filled it for me on the spot. More of a medical setting, you won't see budtender counters, but still professional and helpful.

This dispensary is proof NY is not treating medical marijuana like medicine. First off, the staff turned me away because I have never had a consultation there and there were busy. They claimed a first time visit requires a consultation per NY law. This is untrue, so either the staff is misinformed or they flat-out lied. Then I went to my normal dispensary and it turns out, they're carrying a couple Vireo products now. I got an eighth of KKS. When I got home and dumped it out to properly grind it, (I'm use to Curaleaf which needs to be ground a bit better), I found it was dust. Such dust that you can't even put it in anything because it falls right through the screen in the vape and no way a glass bowl will hold it. I got out some other bud I had, actual bud, and put that in the bottom of the bowl and the Vireo KKS on top. One hit and knew I was ripped off. It was not cured properly and tastes of plant matter/grass. Again, it's so dusty it's barely useable. It's super harsh. I honestly haven't smoked something this gross, this harsh, this plain trash since the 90s when brick weed was prevalent (google it, I bet a lot of you have never seen brick weed). Also, I pulled a half gram of stem out of the eighth. That's $7.50 I paid for stem, to pick it out and throw it in the trash. In summary, Vireo turned away a medical patient while lying about the reason, violating NY law. Their flower is brick weed dried and ground to dust. Not only should no one buy anything from these people, they should be shut down by the state and charged with misrepresenting medicine.

Although this place is in a less than convenient location for me, the oil they sell is the strongest I have found anywhere in NY for the best price I have seen. Will definitely go again!
