The Herbal Alternative is a great dispensary. It feels like you're going to a space-age dentist - but in the best possible way. The facility is completely new. The waiting room is clean and amazing. The staff is energetic and helpful. I was really impressed by the bright, clean awesomeness of the place. They are the first dispensary in my area to use Leafly, showing a technical and forward thinking bent. Overall, I was very impressed by the facilities and the knowledgeable staff and the great descriptions of their strains on Leafly. They even add in their local strains with good descriptions. Five stars.

This review is for the middle-aged frumpsters (like me). we may have partaken back when music was great (clapton, the eagles, yes, CSNY, Fleetwood Mac Rumors) but may have moved on to other adult things: kids, careers, and on to caretaking for our parents. well, now it's time to relax, enjoy life, have fun! so cannabis is legal. thought i'd give it a try. glad i did. But walking into a dispensary was a daunting thought. me in a "head shop?" i put it off for 2 years! i want to say that the herbal alternative made it easy and fun. the bud tender was new (had been there about a week) and was professional, helpful, answered all of my "dumb" questions. i didn't feel like a fish out of water and i learned so much about all the options (oil, wax, electronic diffusers). i can't believe how many strains there are and the effects it might have! i got the twofer tuesday special and went old school with a glass pipe. i got the Indica strains Heavy Duty Fruity (lemony) and O.J. - two of the most mellow. THA helped me know exactly what I was getting! i forgot to ask one question. Is O.J. named after O.J. Simpson? cue: really slow car chase on the LA freeway circa 1995! i recommend an hour or two of Greensky Bluegrass on spotify with O.J. anyways, justvwanted to encourage my generation to jump on the bandwagon if you have been hankering to do so and DEFINITELY go to The Herbal Alternative! it's fun! gone are the days of crashing head rushes, lids and narcs.

Awesome dispense. All the employees have great customer service and great quality marijuana. I would say The Herbal Alternative is one of the best in Colorado.

I was a member at another dispensary in town but switched to The Herbal Alternative after they opened up. Even though I wasn't necessarily unhappy with my other place, THA had better meds with a much larger selection. They also carry the RemPen cartridges which are so convenient. Overall, this is the best dispensary in Cortez and I would recommend a visit if you're in the 4 Corners area.

I was very impressed with the atmosphere, knowledgeable staff, and overall friendliness. There was nothing intimidating about the experience. The sales lady (bud-tender to some) was so patient and explained so much that us newbies needed to know. If you have time, take the 2:00 PM tour and see for yourself how your product is created. I intend to be a repeat customer.

Not the cheapest in town but by far the most educated, best product and great staff. Hash is done in house and better than anyone else's locally.

the prices are a bit high unless its on special but the staff are very nice and the quality is good but the bubble hash is a little bit harsh. it was probably just a bad batch but overall it was nice. also the paintings all over the walls are beautiful.

Great dispensary. Location is a plus. Staff works with you. The Mint Milano is wonderful. Great flower always. This dispensary grows their own flower thus, the smell of their grow upon arrival is a plus. Thank You THA

I'm from out of town and they were very welcoming!!! I definitely would visit again! Very accommodating and the product selection was very cool!!! Disposable pens are lifesavers

The first thing I love is the amzing view! Sitting high above Cortez, this awesome shop offers great, homegrown flower and lots of goodies at solid prices. Natasha and the crew are always delightful and will put a smile on your face.
