Sunnyside Medical Cannabis Dispensary - New Kensington

While I am thrilled to have a dispensary closer to me, I find this one disappointing. The location is in a dirty, rundown, and known to be violent area. The only parking is in an unsafe looking rundown and broken parking garage. Once inside there is a very limited menu in a tiny space that I can’t wait to get out of.

Treat people like human beings. Not like human crap. Recently I tried the CY in New Kensington, PA. When I got in I asked the receptionist to update my name because I had my name changed a month ago. She gave me so much rude attitude saying she can't update my name, argued with me, left her desk without saying where she was going and then refused to serve me. This situation started to agitate 3 gentlemen waiting behind me. One man told me I was making him wait. Another told me to get the F out and started arguing with me about the situation. The security guard just stood there doing and saying nothing to the men ganging up on me. When it was the receptionist who couldn't handle the situation professionally. Which made it escalate into the people waiting then made me feel like I should not be there. I am not from this country and I do have an accent when I speak. I asked them if they were treating me like this because of my accent? Because I could feel the heat of racism in the tiny room I was in. No one should be treated like this by the employee or the people behind waiting. They started harassing me for no reason other than I am mixed and they were caucasian. I was embarrassed, humiliated and frustrated that this happened to me at a place to get medicine. CY needs to do a better job of hiring people to work in their store! Unprofessionalism Through and Through! I refuse to be treated this way especially when all I was trying to do was get my medicine. Absolute bullshit. I will never be going to another CY and I will be spreading with word to avoid CY because they can't treat you like a human being. Its clearly evident the difference between corporate store and privately owned. These things will never change.

I ordered my stuff and when I got home they gave me the wrong stuff!!!! So I took it back just to exchange it. But they wouldn't exchange it!!!! What kind of service is that? CRAPPY!!!!

Awful in every imaginable way. This place is generally rude and caters to stoner patients rather than medical patients. It is run inefficiently and without any concerns for peoples' time. Their prices are consistently higher than every other store and their menus are never updated. This is a disaster in every imaginable way. Avoid if you can -- hit up Maitri or KIC for a real dispensary that cares about humans.

I love that they are located right next to the fire department (safe) and under a parking garage (CY+ in New Kensington validates, so free parking).

Purchased cartridges on sale. The cartridges were known to be defective. I was not aware. Went to the dyspensery to replace them. Screw me no replacement or refund.

Love this place! It is the closest dispensary to me, and the staff make the experience incredible, and they make you feel like they truly care about you. Been going here for almost two years now and I have never had any problems.

This was my first time at a dispensary and they made the visit very simple for me. They sat me down with a consultant and told her what I was looking for and she recommended two great strains that have been great thus far. This dispensary is clean and well-run. I will definitely be back again and again and they have a lot of products to chose from.

I was just checking the place out in New Ken last Thurs. The building is very easy to miss due to the odd location. Super busy and kinda crazy inside. Their pharmacist was very helpful and actually took time to speak with me. (I didn't know they all have one?) Really young staff but they were all helpful. I would say prices are higher but worth paying a little more for IMO.

im so happy a store opened closer to me! fast service, expert pharmacists, great selection. only downside was their credit card machine was. so. slow. upgrade that internet, boss!

Liked -free next door parking! -efficient layout and purchasing. - employees are helpful and double check items at checkout every time. -after med card is scanned, you're asked if you need to make an order or change any items. Disliked -prices can be high, especially retail accessories. Stick pens $8, without micro USB chargers Grinders $15-$20+. -no product visible in lines unlike other nearby dispensaries, not a deal breaker though. -no rewards or points, few bulk deals. Overall 8/10

The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and really go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. They share suggestions readily and are just as receptive to the customer's feedback. Tons of written information about all medicinal uses. Most of all, I love feeling WELCOMED!

I recently got my card. This place is 3.9 miles from me. They have free garage parking. I have to butler and the sunny side in Lawrenceville. This is my favorite dispensary. To the person that wanted their name changed you have to get your card changed first by the state then they would be able to change it for you.

This dispensary has now stopped me a legit medical patient twice without any reason or help by management to explain. Refused to give me information to corporate. Now it has been a month and no one at cresco has made any attempt to make this right. Management said my “medical reason “ was not legit said I divert my MEDICINE with no basis. Waste no money or time. Shop at ANY other dispensary

Phil and Adam are rockstars! Everyone is always super helpful and friendly, and you can’t beat their prices. They are fast and exactly what I need from a dispensary.

This dispensary is where I go for 99% of my medication. I go here whether it's the cheapest or not. I really like the people. I have anxiety and depression along with spinal stenosis and degenerative disk disease. I've always gotten sincere help here. OF COURSE YOU GET WHAT YOU GIVE... DONT BE MR. RICHARD CRANIUM. Your life is better when your. I'm so grateful they are always kind. thanks everyone for helping me.

I absolutely love this place. All the staff are always so nice and they always have super good deals and really good products. 100 out of 10 definitely recommend

I have had amazing service each time I’ve been there. Many of the employees either know you by name or remember who you are. It’s nice to have that interpersonal relationship with the employees. The selection of products is always vast and changes regularly so it’s never the same product on repeat. They do have some pretty good deals always going on. All of the staff is very knowledgeable on all the products.

This was my 1st visit to this location. The atmosphere was very warm and welcoming and the staff was fast and helpful going thru the 1st timer info. Less than 15 mins was in and out and even was able to order ahead! Discounts for SNAP recipients and a 20% 1st timer discount I am thoroughly impressed! Will return again whenever I am on that side of town
