Great experience all the way around. Very nice and helpful budtenders; professional atmosphere. Just nice!

Definitely a bit chaotic, but I suspect they will smooth out the sales process once they've had a chance to catch their breath. Amazing selection, beautiful store layout, competitive prices. The biggest issue we encountered was ambiguity about who was helping us. First we got the floor tour from the owner, then we were passed to an associate who was too busy for us, so we started working with another associate who helpful but also engaged with another customer. Another associate got behind the counter and then left...finally we got checked out. Not a big deal. Two suggestions: Divide the labor between an order picker and a cashier. Less chaotic. Have some scratch paper and pencils on the big wood table so that first timers can take notes and write their "order". Yay! Love having this place on the island.

This is my favorite go-to shop for sure! The staff is truly amazing; so welcoming, extremely knowledgeable, takes the time to explain and educate, and will give even more consultation to those desiring so in order to find what best suits your needs. Some people mention not liking the mild 70’s rock, but I like it. It’s in the background, not too loud and doesn’t give an overwhelming vibe, which I personally feel would detract from the professionalism and ability to focus on what you are there for. Maybe that’s just me though. I REALLY love the recent addition of the CBD focused Paper and Leaf shop next door! They carry everything from water, to dog anxiety treats, to clothing...and even have a coffee bar. Amazing coffee btw people!

Friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Nice presentation and tasteful decor. Exceptional, very fine product. Great philosophy. In other words, exactly what the owners promised in the media, and just what our island community needed and deserved. Congratulations on persevering through the red tape!

Great attentive and competent customer service beats fast rushed service, every single time. As soon as I walked through the door I knew I wasn't in a typical retail pot shop. I was first greeted by a gentleman with direct eye contact, who stated his first name, then encouraged me to look around, and to please ask if I had any questions. And, he didn't miss a beat as other customers came through the door, as he also greeted each with direct eye contact, letting them know the same, and he stayed present and attentive, with a keen ability to read the customer and to anticipate what they were looking for. He was very professional and very knowledgeable about the available products. It always makes the shopping experience easy when there's someone available to ask for help in finding that right product, rather than just watching from behind a glass wall. My first impression was not only that he is very good at what he does but that the store is very nicely layed out. This place is very nicely displayed. Well organized and clean, with beautiful custom natural wood display cabinets. The layout is comfortable and relaxed, with a similar familiarity to strolling through the aisles of any retail store, where you are able to compare similar products with price comparisons, but Paper and Leaf does it with an elegance of meandering through a museum, viewing masterpieces hung on the walls protected behind a glass case and these glass cases themselves are just as beautiful as the art it's protecting. It's very nice, and it really helps the customer to compare different manufacturer's products by name, of which are all clearly priced, nicely labeled, and displayed in well-lit display cases. Great layout, great people, great service, and great products, a great experience! This is not your typical retail pot shop. This is a five star cannabis retailer, and what I truly appreciate about the whole experience was not just how organized this place is, but unlike a lot of other retail stores where there's one long line, with just one budtender, with all the product hidden from view behind either a poorly lit display case or not in view at all, I felt more involved in making an informed decision, after being able to see what was actually available, and the overall experience was made better when I was able to get needed answers to make a more informed purchase of the right product from a true professional. If you're ever on Bainbridge Island, make this your must see destination. Seriously, this is the fine wine of the pot world. A fine establishment. Great job Paper & Leaf!

Very friendly spot, helpful bud tenders and very welcoming. I didn't feel rushed like I have at a few other dispensaries. They made sure I got the right products for my needs. Would love to visit again next time I am in WA.

Product is displayed in a odd way and not very customer friendly or intuitive. Prices should be on the products and not just in the corner of the display case. The staff has been more than helpful and answered all my questions. I have been in and purchased several different products and I'm not sure if they buy discounted old dried out flowers or what but Bubble Gum described as "sticky with a sweet thick tasting smoke" was anything but! A light cigar like flavor with dried up buds that went through the grinder with one turn. And their Girl Scout Cookie strain is unlike any GSC I've ever had. A blueberry smell and taste instead of the typically earthy and minty tones. Not sure I trust their product to be what they say. I'll continue making the drive across the bridge unless in a bind.

Very cool innovative way to display the strains, beautiful interior almost gallery esque. Great customer service, Nicholas was very knowledgeable and helped us pick out the right strain we were looking for. Will be back, and will recommend!

Hands down, best cannabis shop I've visited. Staff is always helpful, very knowledgable from the doorman to the owner all super cool. When I had a manufacturer defective vape, they didn't even ask twice. Would highly recommend.

Nice looking place, custom built. Feels like the inside of a trendy bar or coffee shop rather than a seedy second hand store (you know what I'm talking about!). Transparent pricing a BIG plus. Good selection, friendly staff. Will echo another reviewers suggestion to designate sellers and checkers. It would have been faster if the cashier doesn't have to rummage around for my products at the counter. The seller could just pick the items out and leave them with the checker.

Have visited P&L 3 times since its opening. Extremely knowledgable staff, great variety of product and growers with a focus on sourcing local product. The store has a unique setup with displays of product surrounding the inside space and a viewing table. The staff as always spent as much time as I've wanted providing information.

The variety of products here is staggering! The shop is tucked away in an industrial business park, but they did a nice job of making the interior a warm and welcoming space. No horrible fluorescent lighting, just a great blend of natural and low lighting which is so relaxing. Very nice and knowledgeable staff, and Winston the therapy dog is a big ol' sweetie.

Paper and Leaf is one of the best businesses of any kind I have ever encountered. Their friendly, professional staff members greet you at the door and are eager and ready to answer any questions you may have, or to give excellent, informed suggestions for the first time visitor. The atmosphere is relaxed yet vibrant. Good, soulful music is always playing, and you may even have to stop and pet the shop's puppy! Great quality bud every time, and with their specials they run there are just some deals you can't pass up. 10/10 these guys every time! Thanks for doing such great business.

This is a quality place. The staff is extremely knowledgeable, and the prices are quite competitive. They have a variety of strains that are available for $8/gram, and some higher quality ones for around $15/gram. I'm extremely happy that there is a recreational facility on Bainbridge, and this facility is certainly deserving of a 5-star rating. My only qualm was that they were a bit confused/overwhelmed due to the number of customers. As they get used to the traffic (they've only been open 18 days!) I'm sure that will be streamlined. I highly recommend this place.

I love coming here. The feel of the place is very chill, the staff are friendly and very knowledgeabl. I always spend at least half an hour looking at all the different varieties and talking to other patrons and staff. I always looking forward to coming here each and every week.

I have been visiting P&L since they opened their doors for business, and in the past few years, I have had 99% awesome experiences here. The staff, especially, is my rave point. Everyone here is so friendly and welcoming and authentic, and each of them have special areas of expertise. Even the shop dog is a pleasure to interact with! The atmosphere is fantastic. I love that P&L de-stigmatizes the process of buying bud. No more are the days of car-window transfers in darkened gas station parking lots. Going here transforms it an experience more like walking into a boutique growers' club, without the snobbery! It is open and clean and calm inside, and the glass cases with river rocks are just too damn perfect. I wouldn't be mad to see a little more practical pricing. Or even a more "rewarding" rewards program for people who prefer P&L as their primary bud shop. I spend a little too much to make that 10% off feel helpful. I likewise wouldn't be mad to see fluffier bud on the shelf. I know it's a challenge to keep it fresh for retail, but it's a shame to pay this price point and end up smoking really fancy, really dry weed. (Doesn't happen often, but still worth a mention.) The extracts never disappoint. Duncan, Nick, and Emily give especially great extract recommendations. Paul is my trusty go-to adviser for bud recommendations. Very knowledgeable staff in general. All in all, fabulous people, fabulous atmosphere, great products. The price point is higher than many places, but frankly after enumerating my raves about this place, I really don't feel so raw about paying extra for the trust of having an excellent experience every single time. I have been to Paper and Leaf three times and each time has been a very pleasant experience. I've found that staff is very caring towards their customers and will go out of their way to make sure you get what you need. They also have a very good selection of CBD and RSO products.
