Kinfolk Dispensary

Don’t waste your time at this dispensary. This is the 2nd time now where I have placed an order online and then gone to the dispensary to pick up my order, and they tell me they are out. This last time I received a text advising that my order was ready so I texted back with my car info like they request for curbside pickup. No response to that so I circle around multiple times to find parking since they clearly aren’t responding to my curbside pickup request. If you have ever been to Eastern Market, you know the parking in this area is dreadful. So after finally finding a parking spot, I go inside and check in and they have me wait 10 mins to even come back, at which point they advise me they don’t have what I ordered and that their website is not up-to-date. They claimed that they tried to send me a message to let me know but they only sent me a text stating that my order was ready for pick up. Believe it or not, your customers’ time is valuable, Kinfolk! Instead of using this dispensary, I highly recommend going to Cannabliss DC, which is a black owned and operated dispensary. Every time I go there, I get the best service, they are ALWAYS able to fulfill my order and have successfully mastered the curbside pickup option. They also offer free delivery for orders over $100. Seems so simple, right? Not so much for Kinfolk. DO BETTER, KINFOLK AKA MWC!

This place does not have a good system in place. They barely have inventory and restrict you to only buy one gram at a time. This becomes problematic because their prices are extremely high. If they have 4 strains and you can only buy 1g of each its 4 for $100 which is highway robbery. It has been like this for at least 4 month and there is no end in site. You are better off with another dispensary or sticking to old school methods

I came here to splurge a little bit before the new year. I used to purchase their disposable cartridges but stopped because the battery stopped working a couple days after I got my pen and I had to dispose good weed. Their menu is also misleading. The disposable cartridges are 0.3g and not 1/2g as advertised. I also purchased 2 pre-rolls and to my disappointing surprise, one of my cones was filled half way and wasn’t even twisted properly. Could’ve easily came loose and spilled in the bag. I was also charged an extra $17 for an e-cigarette/battery for my cartridge. This place is pretty pricey and do not offer good deals. It’s cool though. I only come out of convenience. The quality is always good and the staff is friendly for the most part but they will short you and you won’t realize it until you’re already gone.

This is my second year. I was having trouble getting my card , on time , and EVERYONE whom I encountered at MWC did everything that they could to help me. I'm glad that they are here.

As someone with lifelong sleep problems and no knowledge about cannabis products, I needed a dispensary that could help me understand the best product for my situation. Thanks to MWC's help, I'm sleeping a full eight hours every night without having to resort to sleeping pills or worse. I can't stress enough how great the staff is at this location. There's always a good selection: I have never left without finding something ideal to my own needs, and there is usually some kind of special offer that makes my medicine more affordable. If you live in the Capitol Hill area, or just want to sign up with a dispensary that provides truly excellent service, this is one to pay attention to.

This Dispensary is the best in the city, I highly recommend this place to any and everyone who would love to go. They have the best strains of marijuana and the best products in the city. They have the best customer service, the employees are very nice and very helpful. I will definitely be returning to this place and hope to see the rest of y'all there as well.

I have been coming to this dispensary for over a year! Every single time I come, every one is friendly, respectful and kind. They offer recommendations, the staff members are knowledgeable of the various strains and weigh everything in front of you. They also have a wide variety of strains to choose between. And what I love the most... there is never a long line. Thanks for everything you do!

I have purchase here my last few trips and when I got home I weighed my product. I have been SHORTED every eighth. Instead of 3.5 g I am getting 3.3 or 3.2. This makes me mad as I am trusting I am paying for 3.5. I do like the choices. I am going to let the manager know and see what happens.

After a year at this place, i had to lower my review. Love the people and the location. However, prices are WAY higher than any other dispensary in dc. $85 per gram vs most others charge around $60 per gram. These are the same strains as every where else in dc. Shop around before deciding to join here. I informed the dispensary that I was changing dispensaries due to the price differences. They sent me an email back saying they take pricing very seriously, and a manager would get back to me. They never did. Also, if you preorder online, note that you'll get a lot more stems in your flowers than if you go in and order and they pack it in front of you.

MWC gives you the whole enchilada: conveniently located, discrete, and mellow, with none of the chaos typical of pharmacies. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable in helping find the right strain of medecine for what ails you.

Best Buds in town. Nice, friendly atmosphere. Workers are very knowledgeable and are up on the newest gadgets. Go once and you'll keep going. They make you feel like family!

I'm a new patient at MWC and i just had my first visit a few weeks ago. I was kinda scared at first but it turned out to be pretty amazing experience. I was greated by a wonderful receptionist that clamed me down. Then when i was called in the back. I received a well and formative orientation about the dispensary and what they offer. The guy went over flowers, oil, edibles, and other smoke equipment that they offer. He thoroughly explained the different ways cannabis can help me. He also explain what strains will be good for me and which ones that wont work for me. Everybody at the dispensary was very friendly. And it helps that is so conveniently close to the metro and to my house. I recommend this place to anybody that has a medicinal card and what to receive a homie/ friendly experience

ignore the outward appearance, act like you are going to the cell phone repair shop. The fragrant aroma will guide you up the stairs smile at the electronic door bell. Click, entrance granted. Be patient, show your D.C. Medical marijuana card. Sit down. The portal has opened they call your name. It is not a candy store but they sell edibles. The pot is top shelf no question. And don't tell them it all smells the same.

The prices here are ridiculous, literally double what you pay twenty minutes away in MD, where there are dispensaries everywhere. $35-$40 for a CBD eighth? No other eighths under $45???? I’d rather not. The selection is not anywhere near what you can find elsewhere and they expect you to pay extra, plus drive there in DC and find street parking. It’s just never worth a trip there from anywhere around the area if that’s going to be the case. Lastly, I’m seriously disappointed that they changed their reward point system without even sending a text message to their customers. I currently have enough points for a free eighth at this dispensary. Without notice, they refused to give out anymore free product and have transitioned to store credit only. This was the last straw. I use to go here all the time when in DC simply for lack of a better option, and I would have come back knowing i could earn weed by shopping there, but now I think it’s worth it to drive essentially ANYWHERE ELSE.

Nice staff but NOBODY ANSWERS THE PHONE, EVER. I literally called while I was in there and no phone rings. Not at the check-in desk, and not when you’re inside. No way to run a business. The reason I wish I could call is because they are CONSTANTLY out of stock of everything. How can you expect to run a successful business with such bad supply chain and never answering the phone ? When in stock, it’s good. But that is very rare. Better off going to Tacoma Wellness.
