Today I went to the Jackson Compassionate care club for the third time since late October and they still didn't let me into the show room even with a Michigan Hard Card and valid State ID. The first time I went their refusal was legit since I hadn't received my card yet. I had all my paperwork from the clinic and 28 days had gone by but I had paid for my card with a money order so I had no proof that the State had approved me. OK...they're playing by the rules, I can live with that, and the dude behind the front desk was cool about it and apologetic.
On my second visit with my Hard Card in hand the dude behind the desk put me into their system as a member and after about 10 minutes of waiting to get into the showroom someone came out and said there was a "domestic problem" and that they had called the police and anyone who didn't want to be there might want to leave before the cops arrived. I waited another 10-15 minutes (why not, I was legal and Jackson, MI just legalized possession of less than an OZ on private property) but there were 5 or six patients ahead of me and I had things to do so I left.
Today was my final visit to the Jackson Compassionate Care Club. I went in again with Card and ID and met resistance at the front desk. The woman manning that post had no record of me as a member and was actually a little shitty. She wanted to know the name of my doctor and I didn't remember. My MMM doctor was some old hippy MD in a Grateful Dead T Shirt at a monthly clinic in Quincy, MI not my regular physician. You see...the JCCC is in the building next to their own MMM doctor and I was told by the first dude that members had to be approved by the doctor in the next building on a yearly basis. Can we spell "collusion"?
Finally I have to add that the "atmosphere" leaves a lot to be desired. Today was the first day of the month (check day), the place is not in the best part of town, and the clientèle were not the sort of folks I'd care to share a phatty with. Forget the Jackson Compassionate Care Club and go to Ann Arbor instead.

First time visit. We were told that they were not taking new patients for product, unless you have your ID, hard card, and will pay $5 to join the "club" for a year. This was on the phone, about an hour before we got there. We drove the hour and we were glad that we had our physician certificate letter on us, because they did not mention it, but we could not join without it (???). Our main intention for going was to get seeds. They are in the front of the building - hard card and ID. However, out of curiosity, we needed to see what was so special in the back that we needed to pay $5 fee a year to see. I know it's only $5, but you've got dispensaries giving a free gram or pre-roll to first timers, or even a GIFT BAG, (and sometimes upon reference, reviews, and birthdays), and there was no fun to be had here - the person that I was with was a newbie and didn't understand what was going on, so he asked a lot of questions because he wants to understand and follow the law. They did get very frustrated with him (a lady came in from another room and was almost snappy with him - she made some good points, but it didn't account for him not being used to the system). I don't know how long it took to get back there; it was frustrating, but they were busy. Of course they couldn't tell us anything that was back there. When we got back, it was okay. Small collection of mostly affordable flower. Got an indica and a sativa. Got a couple medibles. Left a small tip, which I really didn't even want to do. Went through the medibles in one day, which is very unusual for me, despite tolerance. Found out on the way back that I was given the wrong indica. Was pissed. I knew that my donation seemed high, but I was just confused by then and wanted to get out. There was no testing for anything, just, "Well, I've been liking this one for a while." No numbers. I did get my seeds though, and I got a lot of advice for a first timer, which was my favorite part and the only thing that will bring me back. If you go, use for seeds. I did like that they fund raise for cancer.

Oh, and hey, look it that; they deleted my reviews. Only a shitty, unprofessional place would do that.

What their info section fails to mention is that they are "member only" and they aren't open to new members. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!!

Was a Long time patient, upgraded the store to be.. oh, so modern, but the quality of their bud on display isn’t the same quality of the bud you purchase. Which is now prepackaged, you literally don’t even get to pick out your medicine any more. Bud was a lot better before upgrade and on top of that now there’s tax added? I just went to Lansing... Saturday. no tax. You think they’d start that first? Guess not. It’s not worth the miles or the money anymore. After 2 disappointing run-ins these past few months, I will definitely continue to travel up north an extra 48 miles for Lansings prices and quality.

Agaisnt everyone's else's
advice I went to jcc becauce I needed medicine, not a lot of options in jackson. First off the hrs they say they are open are incorrect. Couldnt tell you if their medication is any good because they weren't excepting new members but by the looks of the clientele I wouldn't want to be. Don't waste your time here

wow super ghetto place. Closed membership because they only sell to street dealers.

I love the space. It's very friendly! I got a few clones they are doing good. And the bud and edibles are top notch!

Always helpful and insightful, willing to help and make sure patient has what they need!

Not bad for their edible special on Mondays, other than that they are just another capitalist shop preying on the monopoly they have in the city...

Good atmosphere and the people working there make it great

This was my first visit and it was iffy. The prices are great for the product they are definitely worth each price. However, the tenders were uneducated about their product. I was told that an indica was a hybrid and they didn’t have sativas. Definitely glad I know my stuff. I would have not been able to tend to my medical needs.

Very safe feeling environment. They do require a physicians certification on the first visit. I can't figure out why some reviewers have a problem with this, they require it initially because they need to have your medical diagnosis on file because they are treating your ailment. Everything was explained to me in detail, very knowledgeable staff. They are COMPASSIONATE. An ID and hard card is enough for a dispensary but this place actually treats you like the PATIENT you are. They are a compassion club, not a dispensary looking for a quick sale. Strains were explained to me, healing properties were explained. They have a huge selection of CBD products which are great for pain. I suggest ignoring the reviews that are whining about having to provide a physicians certification because those people don't seem to care if they are actually being treated for the illness that allowed them to get a medical card in the first place. If you want to be treated with the respect and care you as a patient deserve, this is the place to go.
