Commencement Bay Cannabis - Yellow

This used to be my go-to spot when they first opened. Their budtenders are awesome, however their menu has not been accurate lately. At all. The last two times that we've gone in, they didn't have anything that was listed on their menu and they tried to sell us other strains that we didn't want. I really felt sorry for the budtenders that would scramble around and try to come up with solutions for their lack of inventory. We normally spend about $200 a visit, but with these continuous inaccuracies with their menu, we'll be spending our money at shops that actually have what they say they have. Get it together, CBC!

Super convenient, right off of the freeway. I got my Oleum for cheaper than I've ever found it, and some wedding cake flower that was on point! super tasty. The staff even though they JUST opened, seemed t know their stuff. Thanks for the awesome service, I'll definitely be back!

not accurate menu

Long-term medical user here. The building is cool, but that's about it. Super long wait times, no way to browse product before you're at the counter, "budtender" had never heard of the strains he was selling. Way way way above and beyond Washington State security requirements; to the detriment of the customers. Fortunately, Cannabis is such a high profit margin industry, there are endless better-run alternatives.

The parking was great as was the location, it's near to everything. The line wasn't super long at the time I went which was during busy afternoon rush hour, I had to wait no more than 15 minutes. The staff was polite and the atmosphere was professional. My one recommendation is they offer menus to patrons waiting in line so they know what they want when they get up to the counter - this will speed things along. I purchased 2 pieces of glass which have proven to be good quality and the prices were more than fair. Commencement Bay had many flowers, concentrates and edibles to choose from. They tend to keep their online menu updated which is a plus. I'll be back to see what other shenanigans I can find!

Been to over 150 medical/recreational stores form Portland to Bellingham, over the last 8 years. And this place is one of the nicest, cleanest, places I've been. And the flower selection in great all high quality strains grown right! And the prices are amazing, I never cared about prices because the best fire is worth it but when I bought two eighths of weed snob approved Flowers's for 57$ it blew my mind. Most places that would have been 80-95$ so you take all that into consideration it's one of the top 3 stores in ever been in! Don't sleep on Commencement Bay.. you will leave happy!

I am sold on this store, It is nicer, the people are friendly, this is the first place, I have had the group engage in conversation with me, the place is the Taj Mahal of Tacoma dispensaries. I am a medical grower. I know my marijuana. I will tell you the prices they have on the flower here, you cannot beat it. Honu (Good Pot) Animal Cookies is all around excellent, I had to choose it as a replacement for the Soltice - Candyland, they discontinued Soltice I guess, it was 35% thc, and it was the best thing I have ever put in a pipe. Anything that is a cross between GDP and Platinum Cookies is bound to be good, but this stuff had a cure on it to rival any I have seen, good clean burn white ash, and terpine level was off the charts. The Honu Animal cookies shares the flavor traits and is less sleepy, so I dig it. Other than that, if you buy a 15$ eighth, stick to Northern Berry, the little extra leaf is okay the quality and purity is there, the Emerald City Organics - Marionberry kush for 20 an 1/8 is decent, flavor is very hashy a little woody Could have a better trim, trichomes are great but leaf is too harsh to leave that much. The Head Cheese is a decent Cheese, but beware, it starts out friendly and will rock your world if you smoke too much, i kind of like the cushion pack style, burns great. Thats all I have for now, Leafly may list WOW as the top shop, but my money is on CB and it will be.

My mom and I (lol) came in today to check it out and LOVED it. The staff was very nice and sooo helpful. No pressure, which is always a worry since I get anxious when I feel like I can't take my time and browse. The guy at the counter (I wish I could remember his name but he was bald if that helps) was very nice and answered all our questions and explained everything in depth. My mom is new to weed and he wasn't annoyed at all of her questions. He gave us a lot of recommendations and we both left as happy customers! I will definitely be back and recommend this place to others!

I love this place! I used to drive all over Tacoma but on my way to the casino thought I would stop in. Now I drive from Tacoma. This is the only place I shop. I have a favorite bud tender but forgot her name. She’s very patient and so helpful. I broke my right hand and had difficulty holding things and lighters. But she fixed me up! And the flower she recommended has become one of my very favorites -Alyze -by Exotiky And love that senior discount.

This place is fire dude, I have gone in here multiple times & have never had a bad expirence & always leaving happy with the product & customer service. Seriously don't let inflation change y'all keep up the quality vibes & product

I used to go to greenside recreational in Des Moines which is still pretty good but the atmosphere there feels rushed... and some of the people coming in off the street are little shady in that area... so when I found Commencement Bay while I was in Fife area I could not believe not only do they give me a senior citizen discount... LOL they've got the best prices in town and the staff is so friendly and knowledgeable and if you ever get a chance to talk to Sonny he's awesome... I will travel a little further to get quality product from a quality place.

Sometimes there are long lines but thats ok. Respectful, friendly security. Some of their deals on bud are crazy good. I like that they have their menu up on screens around the room as you wait in the line, as well as a printed version of their menu in binders so I can browse while I wait :)

Clean upscale look comfortable for anyone informed staff lots of parking cheapest glass i have seen anywhere I got a sweet rig 40$ I will be back to this shop

This is one of my favorite shops in the Tacoma area! Right off the highway and directly next to the Casino. Pretty impressed with their inventory seeing they just opened.

I love this place, the people are awesome, uplifting, and fun. Product selection good, sometimes great and price is always best in town.

My brother shops here and told me about them i bought some oils from them and one of them leeks and I called them about it and they said to bring it back so i did and when I got there they checked the battery on my vaporizer and then said it was fine if the battery worked its good after i drove from yelm to there and i spent 48 dollars on it and all it did was leek everywhere so i broke it open and put it on something else but what a waist it was and I feel like I got ripped off.

Sorry but I am not very happy I shop here EVERY FRIDAY since they first opened but I was just sold a $20 panacea gold blunt stick and the whole thing is ripped wont even hit which I don't see how that's possible since it came in a glass container, whoever rolled it completely bungled it, it's like a toddler rolled it, it doesn't hit at all the weed in it is f*cked I had to tear the whole thing apart to reroll, AND I BOUGHT THIS AS A BIRTHDAY GIFT FOR SOMEONE HOW EMBARRASSING. Please you guys get your sh*t together with your suppliers else it's going to lose you your longtime customers that have been with you guys since the day you opened... not too happy

I was very direct and to the point when I asked for 4 Indica prerolls.. I specifically asked and was in a hurry so I didn’t really check. (My fault, I know better) but I didn’t get what I asked for. I got two sativa, one hybrid (also sativa heavy) & one indica hybrid. I’m disappointed bc everyone there was so friendly.. be careful if you’re trying to get something specific.
