Bloom City told me long ago that as a medical patient I would "never" be charged the 10% recreational (rec) excise tax on any purchase. NOT TRUE! On 8 July 2024 I purchased product priced at $60 per unit (with a sign!). This is the amount anyone walking in the door would pay. I WAS charged the 10% recreational excise tax. I have the receipt. The explanation given was that their system is unable to "stack" discounts and since the $60 advertised price (with signage) was actually mysteriously discounted from some other unknown amount they therefore could not give me both "discounts" because the listed price was already discounted although none of this is explained until purchase time. NEWS FLASH: My medical card provides an "EXEMPTION" to paying the recreational tax. THIS IS NOT A "DISCOUNT". I will be taking my business elsewhere and I suggest other medical patients do the same to avoid Bloom City’s duplicitous “bait and switch” tactics.

Whenever I am in town visiting family this is my go to shop. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly, cutest shop, and the product is great. Love going to Bloom.

Always amazing service when I come in whether it’s inside or curbside. Love the weed, and the merch is probably the best perk. Such a cute little spot in Ann Arbor too. Thank you Haley for helping bring my mood up today, you were kind, and picked me out some good bud.

Weird, phony hippie atmosphere that wears thin quick, especially when "budtenders" call you dude, then talk **** about you with each other for no reason except crappy classist assumptions, and are somehow expecting in this tiny town people won't find out. Prices are good, weed is fine, if sometimes super rangy and weird buds at the low end. It is though exactly the kind of cliquey, slithery, phony atmosphere that people talk about in A2. A boring, friendly person WILL be patronized and insulted behind their back, and people WILL be suddenly rude and cold if they decide you don't "belong." Maybe they all went to the notoriously awful Pioneer High my kids suffered through? I dunno, but I plan to buy their cheap weed at the driveup sometimes, and no longer engage with their teeny little cluster**** hivemind anymore, just treat them like clerks. What a disappointment, like so much in this classist, deluded, self-important overpriced town dining out on memories of once having been worth a crap. Nothing comes out of here anymore, because it's all lame insular people who don't do anything worth worrying about, nothing that would ever make a real difference to anyone. No better than Ascend most days, and Ascend is at least professional and welcoming to all kinds of people.

Everything about my visit was great from start to finish, from finding the location, to parking and entry, nice chill vibe inside, service was outstanding (Tanner was informative, courteous, and patient), to quality, price, and checkout. I'm not usually in Ann Arbor but I'll be back someday. My only negative comment is I wish they had a better selection of Grasshopper Farms products.

Nowhere near the closest shop to my home, but I’ll always make the trip. Really welcoming place, very friendly and clean.
