I received my approval for medical marijuana just this past week for severe Crohn’s Disease, and visited VeraLife for the first time today. A friend of mine who also has a medical marijuana card gave me a list of products to try. However, everything on the list (I was told) was out of stock. At that point, being a complete novice about the types of products and strengths available, I was at a loss. I felt stupid and rushed. I had absolutely no idea what to do and instead of being educated on the types of products available, I was just handed a menu and asked what I wanted. While I did end up picking up a few products, I still have no idea what I bought. Later on that day after I arrived home, I found out that two of the products that I had asked for were in stock, but on the recreational side, not the medical side. I was never given the option to purchase those or even made aware of them. This made my first experience with purchasing medical marijuana a nightmare. I am incredibly disappointed at the lack of help and education available to customers on the medical side. With that said, I give high marks to the security staff who welcomed me with smiles and help for my first time entering the building. The receptionist was pleasant, but also did not offer any educational materials, or any type of introduction for a first time visitor. I will return to VeraLife, however I strongly suggest you start a program for medical marijuana users who are just starting the process.
