Future
8/12/2020
Just for reference, I got this strain in August 2020 from producer OMG SYKES. The bud was tested at 26.1% THCA content. Pretty good for the price.
I ground the bud in a generic metal “herb grinder” and used a small plastic tool to roll the bud into a cigarette-sized joint, measuring 1.25 inches in length and probably under 1 gram in mass. I lit the joint with my Zippo lighter and smoked it over the course of about ten minutes. I finished the joint about 25 minutes prior to posting this.
The first thing I noticed was how my thoughts became slightly more distorted and less controllable. I can imagine this phenomenon being stressful for any new smokers, but I have smoked almost daily for 5 years now, so this didn’t phase me. I was surprised that I was even feeling anything immediately after smoking less than half a gram of relatively cheap weed.
Then, I noticed the classic “music sounds better” feeling. Listening to SIRENS by Denzel Curry right now - what an excellent track. Hard to explain how the music is different, I guess I just notice the intricate details of the production more than I did before. Who knows. I usually only experience this feeling after a few dabs or a large blunt.
Then the couchlock hit me minutes after I finished the joint. I was impressed at how quickly this strain had locked me into an enjoyable daytime high. This is when I decided to write this review.
“The Future” is doing exactly what I want a potent hybrid to do. Not a strain for “lightweights” by any means, save it for the dude with the high tolerance.
