The prices, selection and quality of products, as well as the promos offered at Jars Cannabis’s Metro location are really great. Their online “express” order checkout budtenders are incompetent to say the least. They regularly mistakenly tack the recreational purchase excise tax onto medical purchases (they’ve done this to me on at least four separate trips recently), they cannot operate their cash registers properly, think 15–30 minutes for them to correct their own mistakes, and their budtenders continually cheat medical customers out of freebies and promos, e.g., spend more than $100 and receive a free eighth (I’ve never seen them cheat a recreational customer out of a freebie). Only when challenged by the medical customer at checkout do the budtenders remember that, yes, you are in fact entitled to the freebie/promo; but honestly, do you want to have to argue with your budtender to get what you’ve already paid for? Who needs that sort of hassle. Overall, if you’re going to patronize Jars Cannabis’s Metro location, as a medical customer be sure to count all your fingers on the way out. While I’m a regular customer at Jars and plan to continue to be, I only shop at this location because it is so close to me and I have significant mobility impairments. However, keep in mind that I only use online ordering and checkout; for all I know the budtenders inside the main area of the store might actually be honest and competent.
