Emerald City Medicinal

Emerald has a huge selection of great products. Don't let the small storefront fool you, these guys really make the most of their space, and have everything from luxury tier products, to the cheapest budget stuff that they still find usable. And their sale days on 4/20 and 7/10 are some of my favorites year after year. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because they've kind of outgrown their space. If they had more counter space, I'm sure they'd easily fill it with more great products. On some cannabis holidays there can be lines out the door, and if it gets busy even on a non sale day, it can be difficult to avoid knocking into people. But the same thing can be said about 2/3rds of the dispos in Eugene/Springfield.

Good store, quality products. Employees often seem confused. For example, I recently bought a second $80+ dollar gram of distillate, and after losing it, and spending 2 days exhausting myself trying to find it, I ordered a second. I have spina bifida, I live in severe pain, and I need my medicine. I usually order these things on whatever day they do a discount on concentrates on, but they’ve told me different days and different numbers for the discount, so I said screw it, and ordered. The budtender failed to let me know that if I’d waited another 12 hours, I would’ve gotten 25% off of both my $84 live resin, and the $50+ gram I ordered the next day, and another employee even said that it was wrong for them to not point that out to me. He said he was gonna bring it up to a manager. Never got any kind of callback. I’ve spent a lot of money at this place, and it’s a good store, so I plan to continue. I spent $250 there, and then spent another $200 in under 2 weeks. But at the same, they could do better in the consistency department. Basically, if something seems fishy, ask to speak to a manager. If I see a good deal on something I know is good, I’ll order. But I don’t know about recommending it to my friends. My reputation also has value...

The store started out wonderfully. They always had grams of something for $7 or less, and good deals on concentrates and cartridges. Unfortunately after shopping there for close to 2 years, I was informed during that there’s a 10% discount for people who live in my neighborhood. This discount has apparently been in place since the day they opened, and had I known about it, it would have saved me hundreds of dollars. Also, it isn’t posted anywhere, so it’s on the tenders to see your address and recognize that you live in the neighborhood. That being said, I’m 3 blocks away, and if the cross street you live on is the one I do, you are no doubt in the neighborhood due the discount. Unfortunately, since I’m a rec patient, there’s nothing they can do to fix it. I didn’t make a stink or anything, I just won’t go back. There are too many places where I can get way more bang for my very limited buck.
