tru|med Dispensary (Med & Rec)

2/18/2022
Been a customer since 2013, no more. I can no longer recommend trumed in good faith due to a dramatic drop in quality across all product lines and especially their house flower. And they have the absolute audacity to raise prices on much worse product? Ownership/management has completely lost their minds. Why are no other brands (other than very small companies) in the market raising their prices? What is specifically becoming more expensive for your grow operation or production compared to others? Here's the takeaway, if you're a recreational customer that just wants average flower for expensive prices than trumed is your store. If you're a medical patient, like myself, that needs high quality products period LET ALONE at these ridiculous prices, stay far away from trumed. And it sucks to have to say that as from 2013 to about 2018/2019 I'd recommend trumed to anyone. Now? The inverse. I'll be back when you get back to the quality and prices of a few years ago, hope destroying your brand credibility, alienating the medical patients that got you to this point, and ruining the positive reputation of your company was worth it. And if you are able to fire the people that made these decisions, do it immediately.

Harvest HOC - Glendale

9/24/2019
Well, where to even start with this review? Unfortunately there's not a whole lot of good things I have to say about Harvest. The wait time was way too long for the amount of people there, I think there were three or four people ahead of me and I waited almost 45 minutes at nowhere near peak time/rush hour. The budtender was new, so I'll cut him a little slack, but he was woefully not-knowledgeable about many of the the products offered. One strain of flower I purchased was flat out atrocious. It made my throat scratchy and chest congested immediately after consumption which has never happened to me before with any medical flower in AZ, and was considerably less potent than advertised (claimed to be ~24% THC but was absolutely nowhere near that- I'm a seasoned smoker over several decades and I know exactly what 24% is supposed to feel like- this was somewhere around 15% if that). I ended up throwing the majority of it away meaning I completely wasted my money and time. The other strains, while not making me sick, were nothing to write home about. Below average at best. I'll shorten the rambling to say that the flower was awful across the board. I would advise people to stay far, far away from this shop (and probably the other locations) because there was pretty much nothing positive I have to say about the whole experience. There are stores in the Phoenix metro area that are putting out some flower that rivals the best of the west coast so you'd be silly to waste your own time and money here for vastly inferior products, service, and overall experience. Can't say I'll ever be back, and they better dramatically improve their flower or they're gonna be left behind in this hyper-competitive market.

Curaleaf - Queen Creek (Formerly Reef)

2/17/2019
Wow. Where to even begin...this was the worst flower I've ever seen in my ten years of using medical cannabis. I stopped in to Reef tonight at about 9pm on 2/16 to grab a couple of grams of flower to hold me over for the rest of the weekend, and I cannot believe how bad the quality of the products I received was. I purchased a gram of Wifi 43 and OZ Kush each, and both of the labels denoted that they were harvested in June and July of *LAST YEAR*. 2018! I'll repeat that, JUNE AND JULY OF TWO THOUSAND AND EIGHTEEN! That's over EIGHT MONTHS OLD for the older one. The flower was clearly degraded, smelled like an old pair of shoes, tasted about the same, and was completely and totally un-smokeable. I was absolutely stunned and am still failing to find the proper words to describe how bad that is from a quality control and business standpoint. I am familiar with the practices of many dispensaries within the industry in multiple states and I have never in my life seen or heard of a dispensary that would allow anything remotely that old to be sold to paying customers even if it was stored perfectly. To be honest, it's straight up embarrassing and shameful. I immediately went back to the store to inquire about this and from what I could gather this doesn't seem to be a fluke as it was mentioned that grams sometimes sit a little longer than the eighth sizes. Which is fine and expected, but good god...I still cannot believe it even now. The manager on duty was very understanding and offered to replace my product with something fresher but after that experience there was no way I was going to take a chance on something else. If they're willing to let something so important brazenly slip like that, what other issues are going on behind the scenes? Are they using proper and safe techniques in the grow rooms? Are they storing their products safely so mold doesn't become a concern? These questions are valid and should be asked if someone is putting something into their body. One should have *zero* confidence that anything from this store is of any kind of acceptable quality. I am more than happy just eating the cost ($18) and taking my business elsewhere next time. I assume that multiple people saw those labels while packaging it, stocking it, taking inventory, point of sale at the counter, etc. and nobody down that line decided to speak up and say something to the effect of "hey, this product is really, REALLY old, we should probably pull it and not sell this to customers". This should tell you that Tryke/Reef do not care about the quality of their products and therefore should probably be avoided until they start. The Arizona market is becoming extremely competitive with other stores putting out flower that rivals the very best/legendary stores from around the country (and Amsterdam from personal experience) and they will be more happy to take your money and provide you with something that's great, let alone smokeable at all. I apologize if this seems over the top and dramatic but I'm still totally and completely stunned and shocked with the horrible quality of my purchase this evening. I am so disappointed and honestly a little sad that a place with so much promise has fallen to such lows. Especially for someone with many stores in two states, you would think that there would be some standards in place. I sincerely hope that the institutional problems this alludes to get corrected quickly because I want this place to succeed, but they will not survive long as a business if that's the kind of quality that is acceptable to them. I cannot recommend that anyone comes here until there are changes- hopefully before their reputation takes a major hit.

Nirvana Center - Globe111

What shines through at Nirvana is their customer service. Only tried the flower and it's been better than average overall. Often times the buds could be trimmed a lot more so make sure to check that before buying. Still really have yet to see anything better than the Valley OG but if they had a few different strains at that level stocked at all times I'd definitely be there more often. For the price and selection, Nirvana is one of your better choices.
