Blue Thai

2/5/2016
If you like light, mild hybrids, Blue Thai is the strain for you. Well-balanced and pretty middle of the road, this strain doesn't favor one effect over another. The mental component was clear-headed and present; awake and engaged. Physically, Blue Thai provided a light buzz without being heavy or couch-locked. Great for the middle-of-the-day smoke session, this strain is a solid choice for gaining some momentum on of those around-the-house projects that has been sitting on your weekend to-do list since last Spring. Those looking to use cannabis medicinally may find that Blue Thai helps relieve fatigue and some symptoms of anxiety disorders

Yoda OG

2/5/2016
The force is strong with this strain. Yoda OG is a heavy, psychedelic indica that produces one of my favorite highs. The body high of this strain made it difficult to get up off the couch, but wiped away pain and stress. Unlike many indicas, this strain was not mind-numbing, but had an trippy, enjoyable visual component to its high. Together, the mental and physical effects of Yoda OG produce a fun, enjoyable high that made me feel like I was cruising the galaxy from the comfort of my own living room. This strain would be the perfect choice for watching Star Wars, or any other out-there sci-fi film. Those looking to use cannabis medicinally may find that Yoda OG relieves pain, stress, anxiety disorders and spasmodic disorders.

RudeBoi OG

2/2/2016
I think this strain is a misnomer; it should be called Energizer Bunny. Rude Boi is a super energizing and engaging strain. Its uplifting vibe put a smile on my face as I laced up my running shoes and took the dogs for a moonlit run. Listening to the dance grooves of Daft Punk, Rude Boi had me floating. I'd say this strain is the perfect accompaniment to staying moving while getting lifted. Great for going for a run, doing housework or sitting down to write strain reviews, Rude Boi is a productive, active strain. Those looking to use cannabis medicinally my find this strain useful for treating depression.

Platinum Cookies

2/1/2016
Platinum Girl Scout Cookies, or PGSC, is a tasty hybrid whose blend of mental and physical sensation created a unique cannabis experience for me. This strain was much more cerebrally stimulating than its progenitor, Girl Scout Cookies. Its spacey, introspective mental high allows for reflection and reconnection with oneself. I had a little difficulty focusing on one thing at a time , but enjoyed the surge of creativity I experienced. The body buzz is similar to the popular Girl Scout Cookies and slightly lethargic. This strain would be a great choice when spending time working on a creative hobby project, like writing poetry. For those looking to use cannabis medicinally, I would not recommend PGSC for those with anxiety disorders or depression. However, the creative and reflective properties may prove useful in stimulating creative coping mechanisms for dealing with stress and antisocial behavior.

Snoop's Dream

1/30/2016
Stoned...Yup. Snoop's Dream's genetics are a powerhouse that come together to make one of my favorite flames of all time. Blue Dream lends this strain it's entrancing visuals and cerebral stimulation, while the deep, comfortable body high is fondly reminiscent of the heaviness of Master Kush. Not a strain to be relied upon for productivity, the mental component of this smoke was distracting (it certainly made writing this review difficult.) The body high was similar to that desired in most indicas, mainly couch-lock and the munchies. I love Snoop Dogg, but in my opinion, this strain is best enjoyed with a lava lamp and Dark Side of the Moon. For those looking to use cannabis medicinally, this strain may be useful for relieving pain, stress and anxiety, as well as stimulating appetite and improving depressed moods.

8 Ball Kush

1/30/2016
8 Ball Kush is a great name for this strain, because once it's hit, it's game over. This is a true indica strain, heavy and body dominant. 8 Ball's effect is not cerebral stimulating or intense, but the body high could be likened to intensified gravity. This strain will most likely give you couch-lock; the blissful, lethargic feeling when it seems like your spine is being gently tugged into the loving embrace of your couch's cushions. 8 Ball Kush may prove medicinally beneficial for those needing to alleviate pain, stress and anxiety.

Bruce Banner

1/30/2016
Mellow. That is the word I'd say best describes Bruce Banner. I found this hybrid's calming effects to be identical for both mind and body. Great for relieving stress at the end of the work day, Bruce Banner allows the mind and body to get back on the same page and relax. If the Hulk starts smoking this bud, the Avengers might need to look for a new member. A great choice for chilling out on the couch on a weekday. Those looking to use cannabis medicinally may find Bruce Banner useful in relieving stress, anxiety disorders - in particular PTSD - and physical pain.

Huckleberry

1/21/2016
Huckleberry is an indica-dominant strain that has all the qualities an indica should. Although not particularly heavy, this strain is relaxed and centered. While smoking this strain, I could feel my mind slowing down. This is one of those strains where the mental and physical effects are basically identical. A very comfortable high, this strain would be great for kicking back and relaxing. Those looking to use cannabis medicinally may find this strain helpful for relieving stress, insomnia, anxiety, pain and nausea. Remembering that Huckleberry will sedate the mind a bit, I would recommend this strain only be used when productivity is not a priority

Sour Apple

1/21/2016
Sour Apple is a wonderful, gentle hybrid strain. I'd like to categorize it as sativa-dominant, but there is a nice body component that develops in longer smoke sessions. This strain's mental effects are on the quiet, introspective side of things. Reflective and soft, rather than mentally energizing, Sour Apple is a great choice when needing a moment to think things through. The relaxed body high that evolved as I reached the end of the bowl was comforting and accompanied the sativa effects nicely. I think this combination of body and mind is what makes this strain great, because the synergy between the effects allowed me to explore my mind without feeling paranoid. I might even call this strain meditative. Sour Apple would be a good choice when doing yoga, playing music or video games. It may not be a great choice for activity that requires social interaction and participation, like a dinner party or game night. Those looking to use cannabis medicinally may find this strain helpful for treating stress and relieving pain. Those with anxiety disorders, such as PTSD or social phobia, may have mixed results with this strain. I did feel myself spending a lot of time looking inward, which may exacerbate symptoms of anxiety. However, the physically relaxing aspect of this strain may allow introspection in a calm state, which may prove beneficial for those combatting anxiety. When using any medicinal herb, please exercise caution and pay close attention to the way it makes you feel.

Cherry Pie

12/10/2015
This strain's unique, sickly-sweet, pungent aroma can be described in only one word...dank. Cherry Bomb would be a more precise name, because once you open a jar, the bouquet explodes out into the room. But that aroma turns into a really pleasant taste, once combusted. This particular bud was particularly smooth, as well, which is always something I appreciate in good smoke. As for the effect, Cherry Pie has a really interesting Sativa/Indica combo going on. Mentally, it begins pretty clear-headed, then transitions in a spacey high. I definitely felt a bit introspective, but certainly didn't feel like I was trapped in my head. Physically, I felt very chill. I was nice and relaxed and although a little spacey, I was definitely able to keep up with what was going on around me. It's certainly not an indica, but Cherry Pie wouldn't be my choice when trying to stay active. But, it would be the perfect pairing when watching a movie, going to see a play or listening to your favorite album. For people looking to use cannabis medicinally, this strain may help relieve depression, anxiety and stress
