Despite the prices, this place is wonderful!! And I understand, for the most part they don't have a choice in the product prices, given the unfair tax pressure from the Feds.
The product is superb, customer service is very friendly and helpful, and the shop is all around pleasant to be in. I do Rec Shops every now and then to support the cause, and when I do I typically go to Herbal Nation.
