Back from the family vacation and right back to the search for the most lit, most focused and most productive strain out there. On recommendation from my budtender at Nature's AZ, I bought an 8th of AK-47 despite never having tried this hybrid strain --- a usual "no-no" in my rule book. If it's a new strain, I rarely buy more than a gram, especially if it's a hybrid (and definitely if it's an Indica). Suffice to say when I left the dispensary, I was quite nervous about my selection. 😬 A few hits later and I was pleased by the recommendation -- it literally blew a hole in my anxiety and stress. True to it's name, it packs a serious body high punch when it finally hits you -- but it's a gradual shift which is very nice when you are on "productive chill" mode on a semi-relaxing Saturday. This strain significantly increased my appetite as compared to the Sativas I prefer to consume, although not ideal when your clothes are bought to fit exact and you have a 2 week business trip ahead. lol That said, while it gave me a nice productive chill weekend, I wouldn't use this strain in everyday work mode -- great for tackling non-time sensitive tasks such as general research or re-organization/cleanup of your e-mail inbox -- the type of tasks where an unexpected (but probably much needed) 30 minute nap isn't going to make you lose momentum. I would probably give it 3.5 stars out of 5 if that were a selection option. It's also a great happy medium strain for sharing with "In the couch" Indica lovers in the family. So, an 8th well spent at $28.00, just not the GSD strain this Sativa Diva is looking for. #realtalk 💯

We could call this strain the "one-hit wonder" with nearly 27% THC. I loved every second of my first hit of the Strawberry Lemonade, a sativa strain cultivated by Cannabiotix. Super sweet and extremely tangy, the flavor profile on this strain is exactly as described with the matching smell to make you appropriately say "ooooooooo weeeeeee" before taking your second sniff. It's delicious ya'll. 😁 As I've mentioned before, I am a "Sativa Diva" and currently always in the market for a mentally productive strain. The perfect GSD (get stuff done) strain. The "stay woke" strain. The "I'm lit and focused" strain. This is a light-weight contender if nothing else because of the immediate mood elevation & pick-me up from the sweet, but pungent hit. I hate to do it but I guess I would categorize this as a "girly" Sativa --- you know, strong enough for a man but made for a woman. LOL Seriously, the sweetness of it is too strong to think otherwise. Sadly, subsequent hits aren't as good or at least don't feel as potent, possibly because your nose has become a bit immune to the "oooo weee" dank on this strain. The next morning however, my nose had forgotten all about it ---paired with a coffee was an instant shot of energy every entrepreneur needs at 4:20am when it's "time to make the donuts". And I only needed one hit. A few cons: this strain was the stickiest ickiest for like 2.2 seconds; dried out very quickly and legit the last 3/4 gram has felt like practically dust in comparison to the bud fresh out the canister. To be real, this could very well be due to my "stash management" skills which admittedly need to be upgraded since I moved and became a MMJ patient. However, I am more concerned it was the shelf life + the packaging option. I have a few strains to review from this brand and I will keep an eye on this for future. My first time at The Apothecary Shoppe -- the Budtenders were extremely helpful and patient>>>I ask A LOT of questions. "Popping my strain review cherry" with Purple Skunk. This, after nearly 6 months of being a MMJ patient in AZ. I figured I needed to be a bit more knowledgeable about what worked best for my body before I started adding reviews. Overall, in my line of work, I am most productive when I can be relaxed and focused at the same time. I test sativas for this primarily and have found a few favs. Psk ---Definitely will be added to my list of "go-to" strains for relaxed, working sessions. Loved the immediate relaxation of the strain with a slight haze, which let's you know it's a hybrid. However, my fingertips are relatively focused and flowing with these words. I took a hit from a very small bowl just prior to logging into my Leafly account. Since I'm largely reviewing "working session" strains, I figured it made sense to see if I could accomplish the task of posting my first review while under the influence of the strain. I'd say mission accomplished. :-) Try this strain if you like to have a relaxing but focused sesh --- body feels good, not overly hazed and highly focused & task oriented. -Dasheeda The WeedHead, a rising Cannabis executive's story
