Strain Overview: Platinum OG is a well-known indica strain that offers calming, sedating effects. It was created by crossing Master Kush, OG Kush, and a third unknown strain. The buds are dense and resinous, creating a shiny coat that gives this strain its name. Because of its strong flavor and potency, many people find Platinum OG to be one of the best Kush strains around.

Grow Techniques: This strain tends to produce smaller yields, but using the SCROG (screen of green) method can increase available bud sites. Grow hydroponically to maximize the resin production and yield of this strain. If growing outdoors, top and train the plants while pruning away lower foliage to keep the energy in the canopy.

Flowering Time: 9 weeks

Yield: Low

Grow Difficulty: Moderate to hard

Climate: Prefers a warmer climate (70 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit) with minimal rainfall.

Indoor/Outdoor: This strain is pest and mold resistant, making it a good candidate for indoor growing.

Feeding: This strain, like most OG hybrids, prefers heavy feeding. CalMag and nitrogen help keep the plant growing strong and healthy.
