CannaFest 2019

Air out your drug rug and have your pot leaf socks knocked off at one of Canada’s most mind blowing Classic and Hard Rock festivals that’s also dedicated to the goodness of greenery. Catch sets from The Beach Boys, Cheap Trick, Lita Ford, Warrant, Bret Michaels, and so many more!

Mariceuticals & Brynn Jones Cannabis’ Comedy 4 a Cause 4 Cannabis for Kids

When: Aug. 2, 7 p.m.
Where: Dakoda’s Comedy Lounge, 1574 Harvey Ave.

Local laugh-making star Jordan Strauss presents a night of comedy featuring Kelowna’s top comics. Proceeds go towards Cannabis for Sick Children, a non-profit providing education and support for parents of children suffering from cannabis-treatable illnesses. Tickets are $20.

Smokanagan presents Comics Go Green with Miklos Blackshaw

When: Aug. 22, 9 p.m.
Where: Dakoda’s Comedy Lounge, 1574 Harvey Ave.

In what promises to be one of the most intriguing comedy sets of the summer, comedians will perform two sets; one clean and the other green. We know cannabis can make things funnier, but does it enhance comedic stylings? Come out and see as locals take the test, hosted by Miklos Blackshaw. Tickets are $10.

North Vancouver

Celebrate BC day with a ganja yoga class accompanied by music and led by Sarah Hatter. Water, tea, mats, and vapes will be there for you with partial proceeds going towards the Canadian Mental Health Association. Tickets are $28. 19+.

Mother Cannabis: A 90-Minute Presentation

When: Aug. 1, 7 p.m.
Where: i-Training Studio, 208-2520 Ontario St.
Enrich your understanding of the mechanisms of the endocannabinoid system, and learn how THC and CBD play a pivotal role in this talk from Vancouver’s Mother Cannabis. Free event!

Mental Health for Cannabis Entrepreneurs

When: Aug. 8, 7 p.m.
Where: i-Training Studio, 208-2520 Ontario St.
Is anyone talking about mental health and the cannabiz? Overcome stigmas associated with cannabis and entrepreneurship with other Canadian “cannapreneurs” during a talk that will teach practical methods for managing stress and enhancing productivity. Tickets are $20.

Roots to Rise: Yoga and Meditation for Entrepreneurs

When: Aug. 15, 6:30 p.m.
Where: Conscious Lab, 200-422 Richards Street
Finally, a wellness class that addresses the challenges of loneliness and time management experienced by hard-working entrepreneurs who tend to carry the weight of their worlds on their shoulders. Learn to wrestle with the load from yoga and meditation instructors and business owners, Steve Fazzari, a.k.a. Shankara Deva Om and Larry Li. Tickets are $50.

Marketing & Design in Cannabis Culture

When: Aug. 21, 6 p.m.
Where: RED Academy, 1490 West Broadway, #200
Learn all about the marketing and design responsibilities of the cannabis tech industry from a panel of industry experts. Can we change the stigmas surrounding cannabis culture? Join the conversation and join the cause. Tickets are a cool $5.
