Shatter is a type of “dabs” or concentrated form of marijuana. The term shatter refers to a specific form that is brittle and breaks or shatters like glass. Shatter (as you could have guessed) is named for its breakability and is preferred by many because of its ease in handling while dabbing. Shatter is made by using marijuana plant materials and a solvent, it is the result of long purging cycles that remove all solvents used in development. Visually most shatter appears the same, yet once inside the packaging it’s consistency can vary. Some shatter can be a bit tacky, almost a taffy texture. We call it pull-and-snap. However, if the shatter is high enough in THCA it will remain more stable, in its true shatter form.
