Black Maple is a hybrid cannabis strain created by Bloom Seed Co. in Colorado—a cannabis genetics company founded by grower/breeder Harry Palms, who also founded Oni Seeds and created many of the bank's prime cannabis cuts. During his time at Oni Seed Co., Harry Palms created Tropicanna Cookies, arguably his most famous creation, along with Papaya, which birthed a whole line of very popular hybrids. Black Maple is a hybrid weed strain stemming from Dulce de Uva and Sherbanger. Unfortunately, Bloom Seed Co. hasn't released a lot of information regarding the strain's genetics. Dulce de Uva, as its name implies, is a hybrid strain boasting sweet grape and berry aromas. Also bred by Harry Palms and released via Bloom Seed Co., the strain is allegedly a unique phenotype of Grape Cream Cake (though some sources claim it stems from a cross of Grape Pie and OG Kush). Dulce de Uva's aroma is very sweet on the nose, with slightly acidic hints of grapes and berries, followed by underlying notes of warm spices and skunk. Her buds are typically a vibrant forest green with tightly stacked calyxes, exceptional structure, purple sugar leaves, and a frosty layer of trichomes. Dulce de Uva's effects, while strong, aren't debilitating and create an uplifting, tension-releasing cerebral euphoria coupled with a warm body high. Sherbanger, meanwhile, is a hybrid stemming from the almighty Sherbet and Headbanger—a Diesel descendant bred by Karma Genetics. Created by Boston Roots Seed Co., Sherbanger gained a lot of popularity after being commercialized by Jungle Boys. Unfortunately, there is very little information available about Boston Roots or its strains, though Sherbanger is moderately well-known among growers and breeders. Based on user reviews, Sherbanger can pack up to 30% THC and boasts a funky aroma combining notes of sugary, fruity sherbet with an ammonia-like stank, floral undertones, and a fresh diesel bite. Its effects, on the other hand, are strong and grounding, easing mental tension while relaxing the body.
