A tincture by definition is a drug dissolved in alcohol. Tinctures can be traced back to ancient civilizations, and relics of the same product we make today have been found in Egyptian ruins as old as 3100 BC, making their first prominent appearances in medical texts as far back as 1025 AD. While the traditional version of a tincture is dissolved in alcohol, any solvent will really do. Cannabinoid absorption into the body works best when it is dissolved in a fat. This prerequisite helped us land on MCT Oil, or Mono-Chain Triglyceride Oil. (A fancy name for refined coconut oil that will remain in liquid form at different temperatures). Also, the flavor of cannabis mixed into MCT Oil is significantly more pleasant than that of alcohol. When making the tinctures for Lush Labs, we obviously wanted to highlight that this product is made with Live Rosin. From a sales standpoint, this makes this particular product far superior to its competitors who make it with Distillate/Solvent-Based Hash. The full spectrum of cannabinoids associated with Live Rosin, and the hashy flavor it brings to the table create a far more medicinal experience than the traditional Hash Tincture. Aside from its ingredients, an added benefit is the strength of our Tinctures. We have both 300mg, 400mg and 500mg options currently available, with plans to expand to different sizes.
